Desperate for decent Chinese in this area, I tried Far East for dinner tonight while my wife is away for the week. The obligatory overhead picture menu, a huge completely empty fish tank, a 10 gallon tank overcrowded with goldfish/carp in dirty water, three sticky tables -- OK, two sticky tables, with the cashier/order-takers laptop taking up the third. No ice or glasses available for drinks, fried rice a $2 substitute for steamed with a dinner. I ordered a small wonton soup, orange chicken, and a large chicken fried rice. Everything came at once, about three minutes after I sat down. The soup was the usual canned wonton soup, decently flavored, but one of the wontons contained a piece of meat that was not recognizable as normal western chicken -- possibly from the neck, or gizzard. The orange chicken, served with three raw broccoli florets, was old and tired, and encased in rock-hard fried batter, with an orange sauce so sweet that it hurt to put it in your mouth. The huge portion of chicken fried rice had a decent number of nicer-looking small bite-sized cubes of chicken, but overall was as dark as beef gravy, and not particularly tasty. The woman behind the counter was nice, but the food was terrible. I would never go there again, take my wife there, or order their take-out or delivery. You can have ten times better food for half the money at Chipotle.

I work in an office in the University area. Lots of cubicles, you know the type. Some group in our office will order from Far East nearly every day of the week... always separate checks, half a dozen orders, all vastly different each time they order... and Far East always gets all the orders right. Food always comes piping hot, and fast too! The delivery guy probably knows where half the people in the office sit by name by now. About six months ago, the food was sub-par, food was always lukewarm... but then they got a new cook and theyve been absolutely awesome since then. Nice crispy eggrolls too. Just yummy all around. If you want good old fashioned Chinese food, you cant beat Far East

I ordered fried chicken, shrimp fried rice, and Shrimp lo mein. The fried chicken was NOT fresh. It tasted like it had been sitting there and refried. They add cornstarch, which makes the chicken have a white coating. I really disliked it. The shrimp fried rice didnt have much flavor. The only thing I liked was the shrimp lo mein. Overall, I am disappointed that I spent $20 at this place. Will not eat here again.

HORRIBLE. I ordered online for delivery. On hour and a half later our food still isnt here. We called after 1 hour and were told they will "be right there"... 20 minues later we called again and were told they will "be right there." We only live 10 minutes away, so they obviously have no idea where the delivery person was and the food was delivered mushy and cold.

Far East....terrible food Chicken Seczhwan had chucks of chicken that didnt look trimmed, questioned what it was. Lost appetite looking at it. Beef with orange flavor and broccoli, 3 old florets dried out, and the orange beef heavily battered and overcooked. My guest went home with a stomach ache.

Ordered General Tsos and I have never tasted so like this - no good. Not sweet at all, garlicy and weird tasting. Ugh - never again. I over paid to begin with so I was hoping for something good but not at all the General Tso I have ever had and Im from NY so I am used to good Chinese food.

Hit or miss , sometimes fresh, sometimes stale, overpriced for the quality...Its just Chinese take out for gods sake, who would pay $20 for damn lunch.....so there, if u r looking for 5-star food, u should be paying lots of $$$$, def not for Chinese take out.

Visited the Sarasota area and needed a late night delivery as we had no car. Food was great, delivery guy was nice, and they packed the bag with forks, spoons, chopsticks, plates, soup, condiments, eggrolls, fried noodles, and of course the entree.

I used to work in the area, and have gotten lunch here on more than a couple occasions. Everyone that works there is incredibly friendly, and Ive had some great food. Theyre spring rolls are great. This is a good place to get your chinese food fix.

Been a customer here for years. We order delivery usually and the drivers are always nice. Never had any mixups with the orders. Good food, good prices, and friendly service. You get what you pay for.

Spent $100 on an order for dinner for a group of friends, one persons order did not show up. They refused to refund or bring the food they forgot - literally stole money from us.

Everything weve had here is wonderfull. The owners and staff are always very nice. Most of the time we take-out, but they also have a few tables. Wort every penny.
