Im convinced I either came on a really bad night or the individuals posting in this review are employees. My fiance and I came to try out this place after seeing such positive reviews. This place is a little pricey, which is not an issue if the quality meets. I ordered a $35 entree of filet mignon and snow crab that came with 3 sides (one of my sides being a dinner roll). Upon receiving my food, the least of my problem was it being cold. My crab legs were one knuckle without a claw, my filet was very thin, overcooked, and had grissel going all through it. Ive eaten filet long enough to know that it is thick, usually round in shape, tender with very little fat if any, and if overcooked its ruined. Im pretty sure it was a cut of sirloin, if it wasnt it would be pretty hard to pass as a filet. My sweet potato was the smallest potato Ive ever seen. Just the potato, nothing pretty about it. My asparagus was cold and had a nasty sauce on it. Oh and my dinner roll was burnt black all over the top. My fiance ordered their featured item of the evening which was salmon with a crab topping. The salmon was very undercooked and mushy, not at all flaky. The only thing I found enjoyable was their ranch dressing. Our waitstaff was very spacey....Im sure if I had said something they could have tried to fix my meal but working in a so called "high-end" restaurant they should have been able to determine that the presentation alone of our $80 meal was unacceptable. It wasnt busy, maybe 4 tables. Of course the waitstaff didnt bother to ask us how our meal was...he proceeded to try and talk us into desert. I wont be returning here, it seems very sketchy. Im sure their staff will shortly counteract my bad review without much time to waste. To bad I had to give you at least 1 star, because I would have given you 0

I keep getting told by friends to check this place out. I finally gave in and went. My wife and I went on a Wednesday night. We were only the 2nd table in the restaurant seated. When I looked through the menu one thing stood out. They really need to get some organization to the menu. They are trying to do too much. Some entrees come with 2 sides, some with 3 but you dont find that out until you order. We ordered an appetizer and then our entrees. The crab dip was good, a nice start to the meal. We both had salads and it took a long time for them to come out. When they did come out they were room temperature. Salads should be cold, especially since they used chilled bowls to serve them. The dressings were homemade and were really good. Definitely the best part of the salad. Then another waiting game to get the entrees. Another downside of their menu was no descriptions on the preparation. I ordered shrimp and grits and was unaware that it was served with mushrooms. I usually try never to send anything back but unfortunately this one had to be redone. Once corrected it was good. My wife had the blackened salmon and it was good. Warning, if you like your salmon medium you will have to specify. It came out well done but was not dry. Overall it was ok. The service was SLOW. Really slow. Annoying slow. The food was good, not great. I will probably go back but I will not be in a hurry to do so. On a side note, rolls/hush puppies are a side. It seem cheap to use bread as a side. It should be included. If you are going to charge $20-$30 an entree dont nickel and dime me for bread.

Reel staring serving Brunch on Sundays today, and we stopped by to try it out, and actually ended up being the first to be served at their first brunch, kinda cool. As always here, the service is efficient and friendly. The menu includes some nice salad choices, several Omelet options, both Salmon Cake & Crab Cake Benedict plates, Scrambled Eggs & House Cured Salmon, Shrimp & Grits, Waffles (includes those with Fried Catfish or Fried Shrimp), Quiche, and even Steamed Shellfish. Sides include Grilled Potatoes, Fresh Fruit, Grits, Bacon, English Muffin, Bagel, and Toast. The Mushroom, Spinach, Tomato, Onions, & Cheddar Cheese Omelet ($10.95) had excellent flavor, though the omelet was slightly overcooked. The Scrambled Eggs and House Cured Salmon ($8.98) was also very, very nice - the eggs perfectly scrambled, and loaded with very tasty cured salmon. Both of these dishes included Grilled Potatoes (basically Home Fries) and fresh fruit. The portions were much more than adequate. The Waffle with Fried Catfish ($11.95) was an interesting take on the Chicken & Waffle craze, and very well done. The waffle was excellent, and the catfish perfectly fried, and the two worked in combination better than many will think.

I had a taste for Seafood this evening and I didnt know what to do. Eventually I just went to google and up pops this place...Reel Seafood Grill! This has to be the most pleasant experience Ive ever had dining out! It is extremely welcoming, Very laid back atmosphere, the food was to die for and the service was amazing. Linda was our server tonight and she was absolutely amazing. She gave a lay out of the menu that made it difficult to decide, only because she made everything sound delightful. I also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Drew, he was also amazing. Very nice guy and he was ever so attentive to his guest. He really took time to say a word or two to everyone! I didnt meet Steve yet, but Im sure I will next time. I recommend Reel Seafood Grill to everyone! I loved it and will be coming back soon. Thank you all for the wonderful experience.

Having worked in a restaurant for 6 years, I almost never write bad reviews, but this experience was just plain upsetting. The food was very overpriced. We ordered the special which was a surf and turf with a 5oz fillet and serving of crab legs. The dish was $40 and only came with one crab leg. In addition, the side of grits was salty and the zucchini was under cooked. The server was very nice, but was more focused on up-selling us than making sure we were happy with everything. The food isnt bad, just not the best and definitely not worth the price.

I had a very pleasurable and enjoyable experience at the Reel Seafood Grill last night! This is a great "casual upscale" establishment and the food was delicious and perfectly prepared and served. The cheddar garlic grits and collard greens are a must try dish and I didnt have to "work" with my crab legs lol- they were also perfectly steamed and plentiful. Rebecca was the best server/bar tender- she kept my glass full & prepared the best cocktails. I will definitely be back soon!!

My husband made reservations for Mothers Day for 3 of us. We arrived on time and they proceeded to try to sit ha at a 2 top. There was an empty 4 top next to it that we asked for and we were told "no" because they had a 10 top coming in. Not our problem, we had an earlier reservation. Tried to seat us on the sunny patio as well. When we told them that we were leaving and going somewhere else they got attitude and told us they didnt care.
