Appearance/Cleanliness. 3/5. This building was once a Golden Corral restaurant 10+ years ago. Like Joyce & Family Restaurant, they are both buffets. The problem with buffets however is the large usage of plates and cups per customer. Most two person tables may use 5 - 8 plates/dishes/bowls and maybe 4 cups. And as a result you have a large amount of dish washing taking place. Rush the dishwashing process or over pack the washing trays and dishes dont become completely clean. Both cups I requested were cloudy and had food residue/particles floating within the cup. Our table was sticky as well. Please carry a spray bottle of disinfectant or wash the tables properly. Service. 4/5. I believe the workers (mostly family members) need clearer roles and better management. I had the cashier seat me. The owner bring me my drink when no one else was doing so, and then the hostess serving me and refilling my drinks throughout my meal when others werent coming to clear plates. Come time to leave, no one knows whos going to ring me up for dinner. Everyone else was standing around and talking. Food. 4/5. The fried chicken is very addicting and good. Loved the mac and cheese as well. I do wish there were more options available with this being a southern buffet (fried fat back, pulled pork, pinto beans, cornbread and fried catfish instead of flounder would be nice). I dont understand why desserts are kept locked away in the back though and only your waitress can bring them to you. It would be nice to serve myself dessert whenever I wanted (and however much I wanted). AND GODBLESS THIS PLACE for putting a sign up saying "no children allowed at the buffet alone". THANK YOU Joyce! Cant tell you how much I hate bad parents who let their kids run wild at Golden Corral, shoving their snotty little hands into everything and all the food...contaminating everything. Not at Joyces! Buffets could learn from this place. Well give it another shot! Loved the fried chicken and ribs!

The menu has a huge number and range of choices and the prices are very reasonable. Menu stays the same and the specials change often, much to the delight of my wife and I. Regardless if you want seafood or london broil, they have both and they are good. It is not often you find a restaurant where you can have dinner for four with Portabello Fillet Mignon, Oysters and Shrimp, Fried Chicken Livers, and Pot Roast and everyone is knocked over with how great the food is. Everything is cooked and fresh! Country vegetables to seafood great variety and great food! Cannot say anything about the servers, except they are great as well and the deserts are to-die-for. Lunch and dinner has been prompt and great...I will be back again.

Joyce herself is a pleasure to be around. Every waitress is wonderful so we always receive exceptional service. They will make fresh fish for you while you eat food from the buffet. The food is food like a grandma would make, good old fashioned, southern food. They have a wide variety of food on the bar and keep some staples and rotate others so you always have variety and your favorites. The deserts are so good. I love the lemon marange and it is the only lemon marange I have ever liked Just ask for a desert and they will give you a list that is hard to choose from but will bring out more than one if you are really torn. No room for desert, no worries, buy a pie to take home. Not one bad thing to day. Thank you Joyce!

I am outraged with this place! I have had so many bad experiences! From raw meat, to terrible customer service! The staff is rude, and unprofessional! The "buffet" consist of standing in an endless line, waiting on your food to be served! Ive tried several times to give them the benefit of the doubt, but have decided today was my last time eating at this restaurant. I called in my order at 6:45pm. When I went to pick it up around 7:20, the hostess said it wasnt ready. After waiting until 8:00pm, the same hostess comes to me and says, Im sorry we are out of mac and cheese! So you can order something else. The chicken wings I ordered were no longer available either! DONE!!!!!!!

I have been going to Joyce and Family Restaurant over five years and have never enjoyed a better down-home country-cooking, anywhere. The Food is delicious....tastes just like Mama and Grandmas once prepared. The Server always with a smile and if they were busy she always shares that someone would be right with me. Even the checkout personnel have never been anything but polite and respectful. I highly recommend this down-home country atmosphere to everyone. Ps a great place to fellowship with old friends and a grand opportunity to meet new ones! Today I ordered from the Menu for Flounder. . .it was seasoned just right and absolutely the BEST I have ever eaten!

Hi! My name is Cathy, and I ate at Joyce and Family Restaurant on 9/11/11. Food was good, and plenty of it! We will be attending the ProvisionRX Opportunity Meeting to be held in their banquet room on 9/15/11. You are invited to attend the meeting, and if you ask for Tom and Cathy Hardman you will be entered into a drawing for a Tanger Outlet Gift Card. Meeting Time: 7-8pm on Sept. 15, 2011. Speaker at the meeting will be Executive Presidential Director, West Benson. With the rising cost of health care, and many people losing their jobs and prescription benefits, this is a timely much needed business. Come hear about this great home based business opportunity.

This is my favorite restaurant! We eat there at least once a week. There are so many great options to choose from. Their cheeseburgers are Awesome! One of their specials we have had there was Shrimp Paella which was the best Paella I have ever had. The portion sizes are great and desert is a must! Oreo cake is fabulous. The great thing about them is they have 2 sides the sports bar side which is great fun when I go with my friends to watch a game (the jumbo wing are so good) . The other side is the dining side I usually sit at with my family when we go for dinner. The wait staff are very nice too.

Our first and last visit!!! Buffet had little to no food, No silverware on table, we had to get our own. Asked cashier if we had to get our own drinks as well and she said no waitress will get it for us. Well we finished our first plate before server came to the table to ask us if anyone got us drinks. After getting us water we had to hunt someone down to get a refill. The restaurant seemed very unorganized and food was just ok. I saw the great reviews which is why we came, but guess i came on the wrong day. Smh

We play poker in the bar area here a couple of times a week & we usually eat a little something while playing. Everything I have had has been good...yesterday I had the blackened cheeseburger and it was very tasty. The fries are good also. I havent tried dessert yet but I have seen other players eat the desserts and they always say how good they are. They sure look fabulous! The service is fast, and the servers are professional and always nice. I would definitely recommend this place to friends!
