Mixed feelings but would give it a second chance for sure. Optimistic 4 stars. I travel for a living and love visiting little local digs so I had high hopes and hope I get the chance to try them again! Pros were a really nice country atmosphere in a clean setting, very polite and friendly staff, huge portions and low prices. The con was the actual food and Im hoping it was just some bad luck based an an early afternoon visit time and my menu selection. I had the special which was fried flounder with hush puppies, fries, and slaw. Monstrous portion was served and the hush puppies and white slaw were both very good. I love flounder generally but theirs was less than impressive, it may have been old oil to blame. Fries were just the same crinkle fries you get anywhere which is perfectly fine. The tartar which was in squeeze bottles on the table and was pretty much just mayonnaise. I hope I get the chance to give it a second chance! Very attractive little restaurant and a great value.
