First & last time going here! When we first arrived the door slamed behind us, we got nasty looks from the servers, they asked "You came in the back door?" "Yes" we replied, "The door was unlocked & no sign saying not to use it!" After we apoligized, they said its OK! We both ordered coffee & dinners which included salad. The coffee was old & not too good, but we drank it without saying anything. While eating the salad I saw something in the bottom that sickened me, IT WAS AN BIG PILL!!! I called the nearest server over to see it, she first said to "wait a minute", I replied "you better look now" We she saw it she said "Oh my god!" & grabbed the plate to take it away but I stopped her & asked what it was. She replied "its a Vitamin pill" I asked "are U sure? & how did it get in my salad?" She said she "saw it on the counter next to where they make the salad, it belonged to a server who didnt take it!" "How did it get in my salad???" No answer to explain it! We shouldve left then but stayed to have our dinner, being very watchfull over the rest of our meal. When we finally got our bill there wasnt any discount, & I mentioned it to the server, she just made a joke about it! Never planning to return again

Update: I visited a second time, except this time my coffee WAS empty for most of my meal, and the servers didnt even come by my table until my food was done. Already high prices have gone up - now $13.25 for the same meal as my first review. Food was still average. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Excellent service, average food. Prices are a little high for this type of restaurant - my omelette and coffee came out to $12.75 after tax. Youll never have an empty coffee cup though, which is very important in my book.

Ive eaten at The Family Restaurant many times as Ive lived in Eggertsville Thirty Eight Years. However, on 4/4/17 my family an I were not only yelled at but made by Our Server to feel as though we were bothering her with every eye roll. Very unprofessional and I will never dine here again. I will never recommend someone to eat here either. Its very sad when you cant even pretend to be happy. Home problems should stay at Home. Every job is Customer Service. Hope, your staff remembers this.

Great family friendly dining room, incredible open face steak or chicken souvlaki salad, I love their tziki sauce for dipping! Try them out with friends, family, or business partners for a nice easy, delicious, and inexpensive option for any meal of the day. I like to eat in or order to go atleast 2 to 5 times per month here, its just always that perfect. Enjoy!

The service is fantastic!! This restaurant has all the traditional favorites of a family style menu, but it is the service that makes my husband and I keep coming there. If if it is a very busy time, they find a way to get you quickly seated at a table or booth you like. The servers treat you like family and couldnt be any more considerate of your wishes.

My husband an I were on our mini anniversary vacation and were looking for a mom and pop restaurant for dinner one evening,when we decided to give this place a shot. The service was amazing,our waitress was very attentive and the food was delicious!! We liked it so much that we decided to come back the next day for breakfast which was also pretty good!!

The sheridan family is a Dimond in the rough. The restaurant is quite dated however the menu is decent and the staff is very friendly. Owner is very personable aND takes care of his staff. Menu prices are reasonable. I really enjoy there gyro! It is not the mass produced flat stuff that other Greek places sell.

Oh yeah, this is the best place in 20 miles to have any meal of the day. Home style cooked meals and a massive menu. Servers were perfect polite. These meals would put any fast food or sit down restaurant to shame and at about a third less costly. Love this place.

My gf and I come here frequently for breakfast. For $5-6 a person, with generous servings, its really a great value. Service is almost always excellent. Typical Greek place with homemade desserts and dinner specials.

Damn, talk about sticky floors. If youre looking for a diner that hasnt changed in...well...ever. Then this is the place to go. Prices are decent, but the food is average and the cleanliness needs a ton of work.

jab french toast was like leather, had to use a knife to cut pancakes they were so well done. waitress could care less. food and service were awful.
