I had visited this location back in April and I had a great experience. The service was great and the food was great, so I had no reason to expect anything less than great service when I visited last weekend. I was VERY disappointed to say the least. I ordered the lobster and crab egg rolls to share with my girlfriend and we both ordered burgers. The appetizers came out quickly and they were delicious......but that is where the "positive" ends. When I ordered my burger, I asked to add pickles. When the burger came out, there were no pickles. I took 2 bites and noticed that my burger was a little "cool". I cut my burger in half and it was PINK and cool to the touch. The pink meat started to crumble and fall onto the plate when I touched it. The burger was cooked long enough to brown it on the outsides but the inside was RAW. My girlfriends burger was also under cooked but not as badly as mine was. We called the waiter over and showed him the burger and he mumbled "it was supposed to be well done". No apologies or anything. When the new burgers came out, mine still had no pickles, and it looked "thrown together" like someone was in a rush to get it out. My girlfriend ordered the Jalapeno popper burger which is supposed to have fried jalapenos on it but her new burger had no fried jalapenos but instead a huge pile of raw sliced jalapenos. We decided to order desserts and I saw that they had a tall cake dessert made with "moist" pound cake which sounded delicious and there was also a cheesecake dessert. So I ordered the the pound cake dessert and my girlfriend ordered the cheesecake. While we were ordering, the waiter told us that he thinks the milkshakes are a better dessert than the actual items listed on the dessert menu. We should have taken his advice and just ordered the milkshakes. The "moist" pound cake in my dessert were more like hockey pucks and my girlfriends cheesecake was just bland and tasteless. It didnt taste anything like cheesecake and was really disappointing. My girlfriend called the waiter over and asked him to take the desserts back. My waiter now had an attitude and did not say anything else to us. I guess we were supposed to eat raw burgers and disgusting desserts. Just dont send them back? He handed us the check moments later, returned my girlfriends credit card, and walked away from the table and never came back. No good night, No thank you for coming. One thing that I look forward to when dining out is "CONSISTENCY". I dont want to have terrible service one day, good service the next, and then have it be terrible again by the 3rd visit. Fortunately for my server, I am a good tipper so I left a $10 tip on a $40 tab for mediocre service and terrible food. Unfortunately I will never be back to this restaurant. There are plenty of great restaurants here in Charlotte where I can get great service and food on every visit. Too bad Cowfish is not one of them.

Got invited here by a friend who was paying (there were about 10 of us). What this means is that I get to try anything I want and it was a lot of fun. We sat at the bar until we could get a table. It was loud and crowded, which was fine, but for sure I wasnt able to hear the person two down from me despite the fact that they were clearly shouting. Theyre going for sushi and burger fusion (go figure from the name) and then the decor is all mock pop art. Not obnoxious like the restaurants with all the random crap on the walls. It works. Had some scotch at the bar (limited list but Macallen was available, so I was happy). The beer selection is limited, and this place seems to really be more about having a little of everything (and some oddball cocktails), which is fine and works for them. For food we ordered a lot of apps and all of them were good. The crab rangoon was a bit funny, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. When youre staring at the menu youre sorta thinking to yourself "do I want to go full sushi, burger, or both" and thats your decision. The burger variety looked awesome and after ordering a large roll I was kicking myself for not getting a burger and want to go back and try one or two of them. Oh well.. I got the Mrs. Woodburys Fresh Find roll and really enjoyed it. Ill be back.

Some might call me critical, but when you only server hamburgers, you just dont have any excuse not to be perfect. If a steak at a pricey steak house was blah, you wouldnt go back, its the same thing with their burgers. Burgers: good quality meat, cooked poorly. When you only cook burgers and its ordered medium, it should be medium, this wasnt even close. Buns: These were very run of the mill, they were obviously bulk low quality rolls. For a places that only does burgers, they should be making these in house. No excuse. Fries: These tasted exactly like the fries I was served in college at the cafeteria. They should be fresh cut or at least a high quality frozen bag brand. These were borderline gross. Shakes: These were really solid shakes, done well, nothing fancy, but simple. Simple is harder than it sounds, because it leaves no room for error. Point blank, they pulled it off. Sauces: I have the roasted garlic aoli it was great! Their ranch, was a bit watery for my taste, but it had good flavor. Price: I went with my brother, we each had the cheapest option for burgers, we shared a single order of fries, and we each had a milk shake. Total with tip $38!!! Where to go other than here: Hands down go to either 5 guys or the penguin, get better food and save some cash

Awesome food and service!!! My wife and I shared a bunch and had soooo many leftovers: tuna nachos (amazing, great portion size for an appetizer, the flavors worked great together, and there was no skimping on quality ingredients.) Porkys revenge burger with bison made at a medium temperature. I think this is the best burger Ive ever eaten. And Ive eaten a lot of burgers over almost 40 years. enough said. I ordered the fusion bento box (great value) it had Thai cucumbers (very good but I can make similar) sweet potato fries (again very good but like many other sweet potato fries) edamame (hey its edamame) Marks roll (sushi roll that was awesome and I lived in Hawaii for 3 years) and a mini lamb burger (an amazing burger, must try.) The mini burger was small, maybe 3-4 bites but with all the other food, it was nicely sized. Seaweed salad: a very nice sized portion and tasted as I would expect... Good Hi 5 medley roll: Awesome. Good portions of meat. Better than most. Finally, the service was great. Our server was on the spot and the manager checked on us and even gave us a gift card for a free appetizer since it was our first visit. Very friendly. Great service and environment. We will definitely be going back. I rarely give 5 stars. Best meal weve had in a long time.

Ehh.....I will say the service was great but was not really impressed, I sat on patio and the seating was perfect (Inside was loud). The server we had was on point, our app. came out within a min but our dinner was not so quick ( the manager on site came by to tell us they were running behind (understandable)). We had the Ahi Nachos which were good. I ordered the Burgushi since it was something new and interesting, I took the servers recommendation and went for the The Taste Explosion Roll and I will say I will never order it again. The flavor was not on point..... I am a pretty open and adventurous person esp when it comes to infusion but I was not impressed at all. I would just stick with the basics. I tried my friends sushi roll which was pretty good but a little fishy (but she liked it). I sampled an onion ring on my friends burger and it was by far the best onion ring I have ever tasted and the sweetness of the onion shined through. The menu is too much, so overwhelming. Most people may like the large menu but I am a big foodie and think they are stretching too far based on options vs substance. I would try this place again if someone really wanted to go but I probably wont be back.
