I want to start off by saying that the food was truly excellent. The kitchen staff deserves five stars, but the service deserves no stars. I can forgive a server forgetting my water in a busy bar. Its unfortunate, but at least I got my whiskey. I can even forgive the asinine fifty cent charge for a god damn condiment (hot sauce). What I cant forgive is how the manager handled my complaint about the charge. I understand that managers dont necessarily have the power to set prices, but one of their primary responsibilities is to provide costumer service. Any manager that cannot do this doesnt meet the basic qualifications for their job. The manager had the audacity to defend the policy of charging for condiments. On top of that when I called the policy asinine he had the nerve to call my reaction to a fifty cent charge asinine. Good managers say that there is nothing they can do, but they empathize and will take the issue up with their superiors. Great managers realize that the policy is in fact robbery and take the issue up with their superiors. This manager attacked my opinion and insulted me by offering me fifty cents for the sauce. When I told the manager that I had no choice but to never patron this establishment again he was unsympathetic and continued with his defense of pure, unbridled, two hundred proof douche-baggery. Really Im shocked this manager could read. I rarely abdicate someone lose their job, but DAMN! Owners of Solstice, if you choose to continue to employ this man then demote him to busboy. Otherwise you will continue to lose business.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Food is terrible and service is almost as bad. Somehow this place made the list for good buffalo chicken sandwiches. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap several times from here just bc I live close and it is convenient. Every time it was mediocre. Due to my recent experience, however, I will never step foot inside this place again. I ordered what I always do, buff chicken wrap with ranch on the side. We waited a while for our food to finally come and when it did my boyfriends order was wrong and mine was cold, really cold. I said something to the server and she took my plate and said she would have them remake it. A few minutes later a manager came out and told me that it was supposed to be that way. When I told her I had gotten it on several other occasions and it was never this way she offered to heat it up for me. Not wanting my wrap microwaved I declined and decided to eat it as is. I got about 1/4 the way through before I threw in the towel. They had put ranch on the wrap, not in the side as requested, and the wrap was drenched. It made me sick. We paid our bill and left. We will never return. You can get beer, a patio and average food at several other areas in Noda. My advice to anyone is save your money and avoid this place.

Because we live in the neighborhood we have tried to overlook and excuse the poor service this establishment continues to provide to this community. I have, once again, tried to place a to-go order over the phone tonight and was placed on hold for 2:20, then, I hung up to call back and the line has been busy for over 5 minutes. The last time we actually got through to place a to-go order, my fiancé was ignored by the staff when trying to pick up the order. The staff to the right of the bar was very unfriendly and said "we do not help with that." So my fiancé went to the bar and waited for five minutes and no one served her. So, she left without our order and we gave our business to somewhere that deserved it. We also tried this bar on our Trolley Pub crawl and there was no one in the bar, literally no one. The bartenders were so unfriendly and unwilling to serve us. Most of the group left and went to Jack Beagles where we were happily served! I hate writing a bad review, but this place really needs to at least try!

First time I ever went to the Solstice was with two girls I knew, back in Jaunary of 2009. I liked it. I liked the area we were in, I liked the atmosphere around us, and I liked the experiences I had. Ive been going back almost every weekend ever since. I love it. NoDa has such a great atmosphere to it, so many diverse aspects, and Solstice captures all of them in one convenient, friendly place. The food is great; sometimes, they overcook the burgers, but Id rather have slightly overcooked meat than raw beef and food poisoning. Servers are great, very kind. Most all of the staff are just good all around people. During the day, the cooks will even come out and greet you on occasion. Like, I said, good food, good drinks, good atmosphere, good times.

I just left there a few minutes ago. I was 1 of a 5 member group. We arrived at 12:00 pm and placed our orders shortly thereafter. At 12:45, we had no food and had to request to-go plates. It was closer to 1:00 when our food arrived. Someone wrote the orders on the plates. The was no plate with my order written on it. 1 of my friends took a bite from her wrap only to realize it was mine. Another friend was missing part of her order. There was no apology given only an excuse that a bunch of people came in at one time. We were the first ones to come in and our food should have been fixed first. We had an hour and 15 minutes for lunch only to have to take our food back to work.

We usually have a great time there on the weekends but I made the mistake of showing up on a Thursday. I assumed it would be the casual cozy stop for me and my date on Valentines day. Problem was the "boss" brought his date their too. When someone put money in the jukebox to hear the type of music he liked he turned the volume up. After I entered my money and selections he turned it down. When I mentioned it to him that I was offended after suffering through his selections he mentioned the obvious. I was free to leave if I was unhappy with his racism.

This place can never get a order right and takes so long to get, when they have 5 customers. Takes 20 to 30 minutes for a togo order that is constantly wrong. Jack Beagles has way better food, and will get the order correct. I have gone to this place over 5x and 4 out 5x the order is wrong. Might need to check into a better chef or line cook that actually takes the time to get orders correct and what the customers want. Way better places to eat at in noda. The waitresses are always nice but thats about it. Sorry !!!

pros: female bartenders with big fake.... if your into that cons: horrible service, food, and management Food is horrible, terrible beer selection (go across the street to revolution, MUCH BETTER), and the owner is a small wiesel-like man with a short temper and a Napoleon complex. He literally chased us out the door cussing and threatening to fight because our friend (whose birthday it was) took a picture inside. Sorry for enjoying ourselves and spending our money at your establishment.
