My Wife and I made a reservation at corkbuzz for Valentines Day. We were seated promptly, though they had arranged tables along one wall to pack in as many couples as possible - i was literally closer to the guy next to me than i was to my wife. I was so frustrated by this we almost got up and left, but my wife talked me down. The mistake was clear - we should have just sat at the bar. At least we would have been able to talk to each other - the men on either side of me could surely hear me more clearly than my date. The second disappointment was the menu. When i made my reservation in Jan, there was no indication of a fixed menu, so that was a bit of a surprise, but probably my fault for not checking back. Im not sure i understand the purpose of doing a fixed menu at a restaurant like this; youre at maximum capacity every weekend night as it is, so youre not really reducing the load on the kitchen by limiting the menu selections - youre just forcing diners into a higher rate. Ultimately the fixed menu meant $65 per person plus a bottle of wine ($45) - so we walked out right at $220 with tip. The food was tasty but not outstanding - for $220 at The Palm down the road, you would have had to roll me out in a wheelbarrel and id have been happy not to eat for the next two days. Someday ill probably come back to Corkbuzz, but it wont be for a special occasion and well be occupying seats at the bar. We walked next door to Dogwood after dinner and were glad to conclude our Valentines Day with some drinks and actual conversation.

I remember when this place opened up (not too long ago), you could not get in. And the wait was worth it. The wine menu was top notch and the food, mostly tapas-based, was pretty good as well, definitely worth the wait. Went a number of times in the last few months and each time the food was progressively less inspired and just seemed to be going through the motions for the chef. Last night was my last time. The food, across the board was just plain BAD! We did a run on the apps, all over-salted and swimming in grease to the extent you could not taste a bit of difference between the Brussel sprouts and the cauliflower. The pork belly was deep fried. It was like fried grease. Wife had the gnocchi, mealy, under cooked and tasteless. I went with their Bourguignon burger, simply not good. I love trying new craft cocktails before dinner. Not sure what happened but their cocktail menu was simply poor last night. Wine selection? Ok finally, something that was worth the evening spent there. Good wine and nice by the glass selection. Interestingly enough, on the weekends, ALL champagnes were 1/2 off. Seems too good to be true, almost makes one wonder the motivation....badly stored bubbly they need to to move? Who knows! This one bright spot however was dimmed badly by the poor food. I hate writing a bad review and really hope this place gets its act together and soon. If not, I give it 9 months and it will be gone. Sorry Corkbuzz, youve lost your buzz!

3:00 Saturday June 24 wife and I walked into Cork Buzz hoping for flights of wine. Restaurant was 1/2 full. Waiter sighed and said lunch was over and dinner not yet started, and we could not eat in here, but he could put us next door in "cellar" if they had fixed air conditioning. We all 3 walked next door but with ladder up they clearly had not fixed it. So he said we could sit outside at empty patio, and left us. No follow up. No service. This is the second time weve been brushed aside at this place, and we will not be back. We promptly left for the SouthEnd where people are less pretentious and we had a great time at VinMaster.

My craft cocktail ("fig r it out") was good, not spectacular. Wine selection, excellent. Tapas (starters) selections were interesting. Dumplings were OK, crustinni had a very unusual, sort of burnt, taste but was actually very good. I had two servers. One was very timid, seemed to be learning the menu, but earnest and nice. Other was highly knowledgeable and friendly. Manager checked in several times. Nice, classy place for drinks and small plates. Probably for dinner, too. Kids would be very out of place. Best of all, starters are just $5 before 6:30.

We reserved a table at the restaurant for a friends birthday. The service was amazing! We had an amazing time. The food was great, service was awesome, and the environment was very welcoming. Thanks to the staff for making her birthday an amazing experience. I would return her and or host another dinner here anytime!

Beer selection is pretty good, wine selection is good, cocktails were great, prices were high but inline with other South park wine bars (Dean and Deluca). Atmosphere and expertise on drinks is far better than Dean and Deluca.

We had the bourguignon burger and the tuna melt with a nice glass of wine. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, transforming our lunch break into a nice little midday date.

Menu is unique, portions are small but flavorful. Pricing is a bit high compared to eateries in the area.
