I was looking for a good soul food/seafood restaurant. I found Mr. Charles in my searching. I went there not knowing what to expect and the catfish dinner was finger licking good, cheeseburgers are a little too loaded but good. I love their homemade lemonade. Prices are a little expensive to not have tables and chairs to sit and enjoy yourself. Overall, the food is delicious.

Ok, Okay. Now, I can write a review. I usually get the fish boat. One word. DELICIOUS! I was sooooo busy eating that my fingers had tartar sauce and ketchup on them from eating and enjoying their food. The chicken is good. Their Sweet Potato Pies (Muah) their Pound Cake? Heavenly. All is good in that restaurant. You can even call in first and pick it up.

Great food, friendly staff, this is the best soul food spot in Charlotte. The chicken isnt the super-pumped pieces so its tastes like chicken and not a science experiment. The breading is light and crispy, the chicken is oh so juicy! The mac and cheese was on point. Dont wait, run and get a plate!

I had a grouper dinner and the fish was the delicious. Very well seasoned, but the sides, cooked greens and mac-n-cheese was just ok. Get the fish but maybe different sides.
