Poor food/poor service. We had heard bad reviews but decided to give China Wok a chance and ordered at 7pm on a friday night for pick up. Food was ready quickly but the order was wrong. The "mongolian beef" had ingredients that werent listed on the menu and obviously dont go in that dish. The soup was cold, the sesame chicken was all breading, and the "mongolian beef" was bland, rubbery, and filled with mushrooms and carrots. I called to complain about the mistake and was told very rudely that I was wrong, and to bring my food back to the restaurant to prove my claims. I have lived in Asheville for over 3 years and this is by far the worst food I have ever received, this is the first bad review Ive ever written but it was simply that bad. We will never eat there again.

Experience with them is checkered. Sometimes great, sometimes mediocre, sometimes poor. Their quality is unstable. Last time we ordered the food was not good and a part of the order was missing. I had moo shu beef. The order was dry, almost completely devoid of juice, and not flavorful as it should have been. We were shorted on the plum sauce. The beef was tough, almost too tough to chew. If I ever go back which is doubtful I dont believe Ill ever leave a tip again. We have been disappointed before but this time we were angered.

The service here sucks! This place used to be really good for basic, quick Chinese food. Now it is like some cheapo cafeteria. The food taste still isnt bad but dont bother eating in; they used to have real plates and silverware, but apparently the staff didnt want to wash dishes for the 10 people who are inside so now they give you 2 inch long forks on flimsy plastic plates that bend, you have to bus your own table and pick up your own food like at McDonalds. So if you want this food, get takeout only.

Over an hour wait on Sunday night. Food was as expected - good for "Americanized" Chinese food. However, I cant get past the fact that even for a busy Sunday night it took one hour for me to get my food. I called in and was told 20 minutes. I then drove to the store, paid and was told 5 minutes. 20 minutes later I watched as they started to make my food...I was hungry and a little frustrated.

Stopped in here on my lunch break one day. The place itself isnt anything fancy, but I ordered beef chop suey and it was very good- not sludgy like some places make it. My food was ready quickly, and the portion was great for the price. A good place to stop in for lunch or order out.

Pretty sure the Almond Chicken meal was just chicken, and almonds boiled in water with slimey egg whites stirred in at the end. The portion size was pretty big, which actually made the experience worse since there was so much to throw away and now my trash is heavy.

Good for basic Chinese favorites. Try the sweet and sour chicken - it is made with real chicken that has not been ground or processed. The combos include a lot of food for a low cost. Great value for a decent meal.

Food was ready quick but lobster fried rice had only 3 small about an inch pieces of of meat .Not worth the money over ten dollars.crazy wish they sold shrimp,pork,and chicken unbeaded in sweet and sour.
