My experience was so bad that I have never returned. And it seems like many people had a similar experience with the extremely rude and arrogant manager/owner that I had. I used to be somewhat of a regular here as I lived and grew up in Thornwood. The food was always okay to pretty decent. Nothing to write home about, but okay for a quick bite of okay-quality (albeit expensive for what it is) food. However, I had one bad experience that has stuck with me. My girlfriend and I came here on a (very) slow night just for some coffee. The place was dead - there was nobody waiting for tables. Otherwise we would have felt bad and went somewhere else so people who actually wanted to eat wouldnt have to wait for us. Anyway, were there for about an hour just talking and finally I go to pay. The total is like $4 or something and I didnt have any cash on me. And it was one of the owners/managers at the cash register that night. I give him a credit card and he goes on a RAMPAGE. He starts going red, berating and yelling at me how I should never use a credit card for such a small amount and that I should go find an ATM so I could give them cash. I thought he was joking at first, so I started laughing, but he just got angrier and redder. He goes on to yell at me. I finally told him this is all I have so take it or leave it. He finally accepts it angrily and mumbling under his breath. Ive never come across such an immature and unhinged grown adult before, especially one that runs a business. Just a very disgusting and child-like individual. Ever since then neither my girlfriend, my friends, my family, or myself have ever returned. The subpar and overpriced food is not worth it in my opinion. Also the place is extremely gross and dirty. Tables are so sticky and the water had nasty things floating in it. The food may be okay, but you have to question how sanitized the kitchen and thus the food is. Please, avoid this place at all costs.

I went on a holiday weekend. The restaurant had a few tables occupied. The waitress was outside smoking a cigarette and appeared bothered to have to come in and take our order. After placing our order, my husband tells me I have a fly on me. To my horror, it was not a fly but in fact a ROACH. I quickly grabbed my family and exited the diner. The manager did apologize stating he has the place "sprayed" weekly but the roaches come in the boxes with the food. Not the right answer. My suggestion- go to Pleasantville Diner instead. Nicer place, menu and staff.

Ive been coming here for years and have always been content with the food and servic. However, recently I went and the bill came to $3. So I go to pay with my credit card and he started going off on me saying its only a $3 check and that I shouldnt be paying with a credit card. He kept going and got angrier and louder that I would even think of paying w a credit card. People started looking. If you own a diner, expect people to pay with cards. Not coming back here. Learn some professionalism.

Me and my wife travel up to this place every other week from the city, and have always enjoyed the food and service. A few times we traveled up to the Croton Colonial Diner and their food is pretty bad as well as service.

Once was good. Now a wreck. Kitchen staff was cursing and screaming on Mothers Day morning with kids all around. Food was terrible. Would find another place. Very uncomfortable experience.

Good luck with the parking layout. Once youre inside, hopefully you will get a waitress that not going to roll her eyes on you as much. As for the food, typical diner, not bad, not exceptional
