Went for lunch w/my 3 grand children 6-12-12, and my daughter. Sat down and noticed my knife was greasy, so I asked for another one. Waitress rolled her eyes and reluctantly brought me anther one with a huff and puff. Extremely disappointed with the food. Cheeseburgers so thin and dry, and it would have been nice if the cheese was on the inside of the bun instead of all melted over the outside of the bun. The fried sole actually smelt like fish and wasnt cooked thru, the chicken fingers were on the burnt side and dry, it took forever to get the milk shake and when we asked for a few more napkins the eyes rolled again and we had to wait and wait. Also, I ordered cooked onions with my burger, a fork full came and was charged $.75. Youve seen the last of us.

I went with my husband and my three year old daughter. We waited a long time after we got our drinks before anyone taking our order. I ordered pasta off of the childrens menu and the one meatball had what appeared to be an entire raw onion in it. The sauce was greasy- my daughter spit it out and wouldnt eat it and she is a good eater. My husband ordered a burger Medium rare it came to him well done. My burger I ordered with no bun or no fries, and no onions as I am allergic to gluten and cooked medium with feta and avocado. It came medium rare, with onion rings. When I spoke to the manager she just said she was sorry, but no restitution. This was the most disgusting food that I have been served in a very long time.

Coffee came out as a mess dripping all over the sides. When I asked to have it in a new cup it came back with bread crumbs and hair on the plateam. I again sent it back and was given a new cup. This time it looked fine but I didnt even have a chance to taste it before the waiter came out with the French toast I ordered. Cant mess that up right? Wrong. The toast was over soaked and not cooked thru leaving this soggy mess complete with raw egg. At this point I was done and I left.

Very impressive menu. Vsually really captures the "Diner" feel. The food I got was very tasty but it wasnt what I ordered. It was an honest mistake, and the server offered to get me what I originally ordered, but we had a 5hr drive in front of us and didnt want to add any extra time. Id rate it higher but the prices were too steep for a diner style restaurant. Just under $40 for two people. A burger and fries, deli sandwich and fries and two cups of coffee.

Im actually here now lol but I can say that each time Ive been here with a group of people, the service has been terrible. It takes them almost an hour to bring the food out, the waitress demands a tip from us, and all around I am not satisfied. If the staff were friendlier I may have rated this 4 stars but the staff chooses to be rude. It is never a pleasure to come with friends.

No, no, no...Really low grade type food that costs way too much did not meat my taste needs. I didnt feel like I got a fair deal for what I paid. The service was slow like they really just didnt have time to be bothered. Took 1 hour for breakfast when the place had less than 10% of the tables with people at them. This was not right for me. 100% will not be back.

Worst experience ever after giving them several chances Im never coming back again! Just watched my waitress box someones leftover using her bear hands! Ive been waiting 30 minutes for my food and still waiting for a coffee...Last time I came here they charged me $5 for 2 strawberries on my waffles! NEVER AGAIN... Would not recommend

Living in the area for a period of 12 months, I often visited this establishment. Experienced great service at all times...friendly, happy and helpful staff. The service was prompt and the food was always quite good. The pricing was good, and the portion sizes were great. An all round great place to go to grab a bite to eat.

Great food, huge portions Im still full. Its a small place so try to show up early at mealtimes. You can call ahead if you would like your food to go. Ive only been there 3 or 4 time but each time Ive been so completely satisfied in every way. So good. Go ahead & treat yourself....

The food was ok and the prices were as expected but the service we had was horrible. Useless waitress that ignored us, got our order wrong, and generally treated us like we were bothering her. Never going to this diner again with this kind of service.

One of the best diners in New York. Platters are ridiculous so bring an appetite. Seating available for any size crowd. Great brunch on Sundays. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the Mahopac Diner!
