This place gets lots of traffic but from a low end customer base that probably does not care much about quality. The cost is relatively high. I had breakfast today with my daughter. We both ordered the lox, cream cheese and onion omlette. What we got instead was a bland tasteless plain omlette folded around a gloppy mess of cream cheese and salmon bits with a few onions mixed in. Do you get the point. The kitchen is probably an assemply line - take standard omlette base and glop flavoring and call it a "lox" or " spinach" or whatever omlette. The accompanying hashbrowns are really a square of also very bland tastless potatoe mix. The taste was...well "institutional". Why should I waste my time writing this review? Maybe it will motivate this company to justify its relatively high prices by raising quality. Even a small improvement will be significant given how low and disappointing are the current results. Of course, when I arrived home my wife -- smarter half -- informed me that EVERYONE knows City Limits is low quality.

Ordered off of the menu and am happy that I did. I added a side of Corn Beef Hash to my breakfast and it was served with Hollandaise sauce. WOW!! This is a must try and the sauce was freshly made. Absolutely delicious with the rest of the breakfast without detracting because of the sauce. Ill definitely compare corn beef hash from other diners to this standard and hope not to be disappointed. We arrived at 10am and the menu is just about to change so be sure to arrive well before 10am for a full breakfast menu OR after 11am. While the coffee was a bit off at this diner, the food was not overcooked or underdone. This is the way that each morning should begin -- yum!! The parking lot has ample space and always full. Be ready to park on the side streets. The beauty to this Diner is also the open facade that is continue behind windows and along the inside wall of the restaurant. While only 20 years old, they have been written up in many newspaper articles and Zagats.

My family and I were traveling and stopped here for dinner. It looked like a nice place at first glance. Once we sat down it all went downhill. The waitress was awkward and just stood there waiting for us to make a choice. We were also seated by the kitchen doors, so while she wasnt waiting tables she was standing and staring at us while we ate. We felt so uncomfortable! They did have a kids menu, but it wasnt really kid sized food and very very pricey. $10 for a cheese burger for a kid?!? A single chocolate milk was $4!! My son got a burger and the roll was mushy. I got the veggie burger and my bun was wet! So all I ate was the burger. My other sons pbj was on stale bread and my husbands omelette was very greasy with dry toast!!! $60 later.... We hated this experience!!!!

If I could give this place minus 5 stars I would. The service was beyond TERRIBLE. Firstly there was coffee on my wifes seat and the bus boy acted like it was an imposition to wipe it up. Next the waiter came over to us and barely said a word. He was rude and behaved like he couldnt be bothered with us. When I asked for the restroom he just pointed in a vague direction even though the bathroom was downstairs. To make matters even worse, the same waiter proceeded to smile and speak very nicely to the couple across from us.The only difference between us is that were interacial and they were not.We decided to leave and tried to speak to the manager who basically just stared at us. Im very glad we left and did not spend any money in their overpriced establishment.

City Limits has been a fixture in the White Plains dining landscape for as long as my memory serves me. This location featured a tremendous facelift for the brand and identity of the City Limits Diner Experience. At this point, it is more like generic restaurant than a "diner." Only by offering pages and pages of options to choose from does it retain any semblance of a diner. However, if you are looking to gather a group to dine together, there does not exist a more logical choice than City Limits. The food is quite tasty and fresh, but I feel a bit overcharged. Lets face it, not too many people go to a diner for the great customer service, a diner become the choice because you can get whatever you want and relax.

The price keeps going up for a lot of items on their menu, but the portions are smaller. They have raised their price on all their sandwiches, around $12. each, but they put less protein on them. I think the quality has gone down too. The salmon burger, quite pricey at around $17., tasted fishy. One of my favorite sandwiches, the turkey club, barely has any meat and last time they served to me with very fatty bacon (they never did that before) Some of their dinners are still quite good and you are better off ordering a dinner than a sandwich, I am talking value-wise (dinner portions have shrunk too) We go there less and less. I think thier business has decreased due to their overpriced menu.

The diner isnt necessarily the best but the food isnt bad. The interior decor is modern. It looks really nice but it doesnt feel like a diner. The food is a bit pricey for a diner but its worth it. The wait wasnt horrible. We got a table within 10 minutes. The service isnt horrible but it has major opportunities. They can improve their service. If youre splitting the check between credit cards be mindful they would ask you to double tip which I didnt understand and that was exactly what happened to me. Like I said the food is good and the modern take isnt necessarily bad. It just doesnt feel like a diner.

This diner sucks so much, the coffee sucked, the orange juice sucked, the pancakes were horrible, the syrup was to sweet, the bacon was to dry and crisp, the eggs were horrible, it was to expensive , i hate this place so much, that tonight i will have bad dreams about this horrible experience, i should have gone to ihop. I pray to god that i will never have the misfortune of ever going to this horrible Diner again, tonight when i eat my thanksgiving dinner with my family, I will be thankful that i will never have to go to this diner again.

Best diner Ive ever experienced. Its in a category way above that of the typical diner. Youll notice that whatever you order, the dish will have been prepared with care & expertise. Im kind of picky and have never been disappointed with any items on their menu. The place has a pleasing decor and ambience. It stays busy because they have established a strong reputation for quality of food and service. The management is apparently excellent. Weve been fairly regular for many years. City Limits is a definite locals favorite.

Like eating in Grand Central Station. Friendly staff food average. I keep going back but no more. Over built and priced. It is just a diner so lower your expectations. Ordered Greek salad this is what is supposed to go in a large salad bowl, ( came in small plate ) Romaine, onion, olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumber and cheese and stuffed grape leave rolls. NONE OF THESE INCLUDED. Whisk together the olive oil, oregano, lemon juice and black pepper. Pour dressing over salad, toss and serve. Done with this place.
