IF I COULD GIVE THIS REVIEW 0 STARS I WOULD! This evening my family and I decided to go dine at the Saratoga Springs Golden Coral to celebrate a very big occasion which was not able to be celebrated, we did not finish our first plates. There was a major issue as we were dinning, my pregnant sister in law discovered a metal coil in the pot roast about an inch in length which smelt like rust and also there were additional smaller pieces of the metal coil in the food. We had reported this incident to our waitress and provided her the one inch coil which was discarded as the manager on schedule was being approached by my father in law to discuss the issue. At this point my sister in law became nauseated went to the bathroom several times and upon her return continued to eat until she saw a metal object in her food. When my father in law spoke to the manager about this issue there seemed to be no compassion over this incident and there were four employees including the manager who could identify the metal coils which was stated to be from a scrubbing brush used to clean pots and pans. The manager on schedule did not do anything to compensate nor validate the fact that there were three of us who had ate the same pot roast from the same pan. It is incomprehensible on how we were treated knowing we all had ate the same dish from the same pot and the staff did not seem to be bothered with this issue because it seemed as if it has happened before this incident. Ultimately this incident it had impacted our dining experience to say the least, but more over than that it has ended our desire to visit Golden Coral as we were regular visitors of the establishment. At this time we are awaiting the general manager to contact us directly. If we do not hear from this General Manager we will have to consult with an attorney because the matter was handled so poorly. My biggest suggestion is for managers to be trained correctly to deal with incidents that may come up. As well as there should be a Higher Up manager who should always be on schedule who could efficiently deal with issues as this. Also, we received the worst solution by the manager on schedule who suggested we call the police instead of trying to get a solution between each party.

Food is always hot, fresh and half decent however there are pros and cons. On July 24th between the hours of 3-4pm, I took my mother there to rest since its her favorite spot. The utensils were filthy, with residue and crumbs caked up inbetween the prongs of the forks, the cups had flakes and SeaMonkeys floating in every cup. Our waitress was not hospitable at all, finally she accommodated with a weak "Im sorry"and got us some happy meal cups fresh out the packs. I called to speak with the manager on duty"Vicky, Mickey, or Nickey", one if those(I was on my cell phone and reception wasnt great),I complimented her on the food and then told her about the utensils and cups, she gave me a half ass "ok thank you", "thanks for bringing it to my attention". She then hung up on me... I will not be back and wont recommend anyone else to go there!!

The food was great, the staff were pleasant and helpful. I do not suggest the Golden corral in albany as the restraunt is just filthy and the staff are rude, my friend even had food poisoning from something she ate. This one I will be returning to though. To everyone out there, the staff and everything has changed a lot. For example, a week ago, I was pretty scared of going necause of my horrible experience in albany, but I actually had a splendid time. If you really want to compare, visit albanys. This place I gave fivestars because they werent moody, like the waitress and cooks in Albany, they were very friendly infact. The utensils could be a bit cleaner, but hey, a minor slip up on the busboys part. Compared to what occured in albany, I think this place deserves at least 3 stars.

I could never again bring myself to return. But the 1 star rating has nothing to do with the service. Our waitress and the staff there were great. It also has nothing to do with the food. Being a buffet, youre going to get buffet food prepared and served to cater to mass quantities. If you want quality food you most likely wont find it at a buffet. My low rating is due to a patron there earing gummy bears from the line with her fingers instead of using the tongs provided. When I called her out on it she stated her fingers were cleaner than the tongs. She then proceeded to grab a few more and laugh. Ive heard story after story of these sort of things happening. Some stories were much worse than mine. So, despite the excellent service, I cannot return to this restaurant.

Do not attend this horrendous place. My visit was negatively impacted by the lack of my small dr.pepper soda and screaming babies sitting right behind us. While i recongnize the babies were not the fault of this establishment, the social awkwardness was. Upon leaving my wobbling and unbalanced table to go scavenge the selection, the sitloin steak had caught my eye. This was not a self serve item and had to be carved by the iron chef wannabe behind the counter, however instead of asking me if i wanted a piece he just stood there and made eye contact with me for a good 10 seconds until i decided to walk away, steakless and disappointed. 10/10 would not come again.

After reading the other google reviews we did not know what tO expect when we entered the corral. However we were pleasantly surprised with all aspects of the restaurant. The service and the food was good especially the pot roast. Some dishes were awesome but the others maintained the same level of blandness. However for the money this golden corral was a good deal. The chocolate wonder fall was wonderful, it was a good ending to a great meal.

Ill start with our waitress, or lack thereof. She never even spoke with or greeted us. After our drinks were empty for well over 10 minutes, and seeing her sitting and texting with her phone, I went to the entrance to the restaurant and asked for refills there. The salad bar items were wilted, mixed and looked to be old. We frequent the Golden Corral but rarely the one in Saratoga Springs. This has now changed to never again in Saratoga.

Good clean place. Ive been in a some different Golden Corals, and can say, this is really good one. I dont know how possible to count buffets food healthy, but Saratoga Springs one has a good quality, tasty food. And their steak always good! If you dlike to go to Golden Coral and not lazy to drive couple more miles - go to Saratoga!

Food was great. The service was great Went there three times and met the manager very friendly the cooks was fantastic. Please dont change the cooks. Would like to see foods for people with restrictions diets beside salads. The place was clean. Please help the Rochester location. Thank you for a great experience. Buffalo NY

I come here as often as I can, sometimes once a month, sometimes a few times a year. I can honestly say Ive never had bad service. The food choices always seem fresh, and I personally enjoy the chatting with cooks from behind the line. The live omelette station is definitely a nice touch. Keep up the great job!
