I have been coming to this restaurant for many years with my family once or twice a week for many years (if you are familiar with the Atlantic you might recognize my father as the older gentlman with me his heavy set son), and it has been a great place to go for an affordable meal especially later at night when most other places have closed down. Today we took my elderly mother out for an early dinner at around 3PM. She ordered the Sirloin Steak and Fried Shrimp with home-fries. The waitress was kind of bossy making sure we knew that we were working on her schedule and she was not friendly at all when we stopped her to ask her for something like a drink refill, I just put it off as she was having a bad day. When my mother got to the medium rare steak, she couldnt even cut into it with a steak knife as if the meat had been boiled, so she thought she would send it back and ask for something to replace it with since it was too tough. The server became very nasty and insisted that we could not send it back since the owner was not there. We asked her to cut the steak to see how tough it is and she scolded us to cut it ourselves as if it we were asking her to feed my mother or something, what an insult. She finally stormed off into the kitchen and you could hear her throw the plate with the steak on it against the wall. When the hostess came over to ask what happened we explained everything. The cook in the back said that the waitress should just let us replace the steak with something else, but at that point my father was rather angry with the waitresses attitude and we just asked for our check to go. The waitress then proceeded to insist that we order something to replace the steak. My father raised his voice and told her just to get the check and that we were never coming back there again after having been customers there for 15+ years. I hope the owner sees this and does something to resolve this problem.

I went to the Atlantic Family Restaurant on 9/2/13 and ordered the Monday "special" which was steak and shrimp skewers. It came with two sides, so I chose the pasta and veggies. When the order came out I disgusted by the appearance of the food...the veggies were clearly out of a can, the steak was tiny and thin, and the shrimp looked very rubbery. I tried a piece of the steak, and it had no taste. It was cool, like it had been sitting out. Absolutely disgusting, and not worth the $ 11.00. When the waitress came to check on us, and I politely told her that I could not eat the meal, and asked her to swith it with a gyro instead. She went back to the kitchen, and a few minutes later came back with my SAME STEAK and informed me that the Owner REFUSED to switch my meal. He said that I would have to eat it, or be CHARGED AGAIN for something else!! I was shocked, and asked to speak to him. She went back to the kitchen to get him, but the coward REFUSED to speak to me. He told her that I would STILL have to pay for my meal despite my dissatisfaction of the food that I honestly wouldnt even give to my DOG. I paid the bill, and left. Do not eat there!!!

The owner of this place is the wife of a husband who is not allowed to own a business but yet somehow he still has the one that runs it oh wait because her name is on the paperwork and thats his wife. Legally Christos is not allowed to own a business because of what he did it with in the city. Moving up to New York Atlantic family was the first restaurant that I worked at now let me tell you... the husband of the owner would come in here get drunk and then harass the staff will that was on the floor. I dont even have to elaborate too much from there because anybody whos been there knows and thats including guess I mean there will be people who would have problems with their food and he would refuse to fix or help he would tell us that hes not going to do anything and that we better take care of it. Never ever have I work for anyone that did not care about a customers concerns. If you do not know this man personally than 9 times Outta 10 your experience here is going to suck

So i looked up their prices online and liked what i saw, got here found that everything was 2 dollars more than it said online. Okay whatever i was starving. So i ordered eggs florintine, some home fries with onions in them, and a drink. My boyfriend orders pancakes eggs and sausage. No side orders with the specials so i got charged another 2 dollars for the browns cool w.e, but then another 80 cents for the onions. So you quys are Nickel and diming people okay..On top of that waitress was kinda horrible forgot our silverwear never checked back with us i wish i had the server from the table next to us nc she was amazing. I wouldve left a tip for her. Also the spinach tasted like it was expired so i picked it out. All in all i left home this morning looking for a cheap place to get a good bite. I got neither of these things from the Atlantic family restaurant today. I will probably not be back.

So my mom and I had been wondering about going here for a while. We did, and we will never be back. I ordered a cup Of tea, added the creamer and it curdled. Told the waitress and was role oh thats just the water. No. Thats not water. Get s different cup of tea, and that also curdled the minute I added cream to it. Never mind Ill take a Pepsi. We ask the waitress about what she recommended. Anything but the steak. The cooks cant cook a steak. But anything else is good. What? Arent you a steak and seafood resteraunt, which is why we are here? For a steak? Never mind. Well get the chicken and a cup of soup. The soup was horrible- tasteless and the noodles so overdone that they basically melted into a mush. The crackers were stale for both of us. Chicken was ok. Nothing horrible but nothing good. Ill never be back.

Anyone who has or has not eaten at Atlantic family restaurant in webster I would never recommend that place again. My family and myself have been going to them for years. Yesterday me and my boyfriend went in for breakfast hours later I found myself throwing up 18 times when going into urgent care I was told I had severe food poisoning and dehydration and was told by a medical individual I must have gotten it from Atlantic. That was the only I had eaten in the last 20 hours. So this morning I called just to make them aware of what had happened and the manager starts yelling at me and telling me Im a liar and that I did not get food posioning from them. Instead of apologizing he continued to yell at me. I will never step foot in that business again.

We are always seated right away....The food is very good....also soups are outstanding...also good and hot. Menu has many choices....from breakfast to prime rib....I think its the owner who seems to be there any time of the day...always directing the young help...who seem to like working there.....It looks like he runs a right ship....has set down the rules...and I think young people like to follow the rules when they know what they are...and it seems always busy....so good job all around Atlantic Family ....
