my review for the White whale it is a very dirty place!!!! becareful of any food you eat i had 2 hairs in my salad,a bloody bandage on the floor and heat blasting on our table when we asked the bi-polar manager to help with the issues she screamed in front of the fire hazard dinning room filled with 200 people where maybe 60 should have been seated using words that i couldnt believe in front of my 95 year old grandma and my mother then the manager decided screaming wasnt enough and punched me the cops were called as they couldnt believe how many people and how rude the White Wale was when the owner of the white Wale was informed of this horrible service she couldnt care less!!!! just a dirty family owned busniess that i cant believe is even in busniess I know many people who will no longer go there or who will make sure never to go there JUST BECAREFUL!!! i took the time to write this so no one else has to be treated so bad and attacked

My family and I have been dining at the White Whale since the early 1990s and have always found the service and the food excellent. We seldom take the time to write reviews of restaurants, but when we saw the negative comments presented here we just had to share our wonderful experiences at this restaurant. We dine here about three or four times a year. Although there is ample parking space, we usually find only one or two spots open (a very good sign - bad restaurants do not get that many diners). From the appetizers to the soups and salads, and from the main course to the desserts, this restaurant has always provided us with delightful experiences. And the nautical decor fits in perfectly with its waterside location.

Went for my Birthday dinner. Food was awful, could hardly cut the steak, stuffed shrimp and lobster tails was all stuffing, 3x the amount necessary. Waitress never checked if we needed napkins or water, she spent more time with customers I assume were her friends, she was at their table every few minutes, we had to flag her down to bring us water. All in all the place is terrible. I can not believe that anyone would give this dump a good rating. They need to close their doors permanently. Even the chairs were uncomfortable and look like they sat in water for a few days when Sandy hit. Just a disgusting, dirty sh-- hole. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

WAITED FOR A SEAT FOR 10 MINUTES(PLACE WAS NOT BUSY AT ALL) WAITED WHILE THEY DECIDED WHO WOULD BE OUR WAITRESS(THAT WAS 15 MINUTES) STALE BREAD BASKET. RUBBER SCALLOPS BURNT AND RAW BAKED POTATOES. CHICKEN AND OLD BROCCOLI DROWNING IN A VERY GROSS LOOKING DARK TAN FLUID. WHEN WE ADVISED THE WAITRESS(WHEN SHE ACTUALLY CAME BY) THAT OUR ORDER WAS NOT GOOD,SHE SIMPLY SAID,OH WELL SORRY AND HANDED ME A CHECK.NO OFFER TO TAKE SOMETHING OFF THE CHECK,JUST OH WELL. THIS IS NOT RESTAURANT QUALITY FOOD AT ALL. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I WATCHED OTHER PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEMS THEY HAD WITH THIER MEAL AS WELL.

White Whale Inn should be condemned!!!!!! Filthy disgusting freezer burned nasty food! The "Manager" whom I think is the owner is a psychopath !!! We went for Fathers Day the food was INEDIBLE brought my son my daughter and my 2 granddaughters the service was ridiculous took over an hour to get our dinners with no one in the place what a horrible experience and this woman running the show is not fit to run a dog food store cause I wouldnt feed my dog such disgusting food!!!! STAY AWAY PLEASE DONT WANT ANYONE TO GET SICK!!!!

I have been coming to the whitewhale for years, and I will admit, they were in a slump for awhile, they have pulled themselves out. The waitstaff has been re energized, and changed, the food has gotten much better, the portions are unbelievably big. They have daily lunch and dinner specials. For the price its a deal with good food. The decor maybe dated..but I dont eat there for the paintings on the wall!!
