YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO REMOVE THE SHRIMP POOP BEFORE SERVING!!! And if its brought to your attention, you should do something about it besides taking it away! Now Im being charged for something I didnt even get to finish eating! and at $25 for shrimp scampi that doesnt even have the decency to come on top of pasta or rice or anything, thats really bad. The displeasure started off small - asked for a napkin, no napkin. asked again. no napkin. Well, lets look at the menu: gosh, they do know its a diner, right? How can you charge that much? So I order french onion soup, which is cooked in chicken broth instead of beef broth. Hardly matters. By the way, you cant write Soup du Jour on your menu, it means soup of the day so obviously it cant be the same every day. Then she forgets my dessert. I didnt bother reminding her, since I was no longer hungry after the shrimp poop scampi. And at the end of it, I get the check, and the waitress, who had to apologize because she tried to return the food and couldnt because Id had 3 of the 6 shrimps before discovering the poop, doesnt bring it to me, I have to go to the desk to pay. but I WATCHED her do it for the next table. Disgusting, Dirty, bad service, bad food, and very high prices for a diner. Ive had sushi for less.

I went here the other night around 2 am and I had the WORST service Ive ever had. I asked for the brownie sundae. When I got it there was nuts in it, no where on the menu did it say that the brownie had nuts. I called the waiter over and asked for something else instead, said I had a nut allergy. I asked for just chocolate ice cream. He didnt even ask if I wanted the one or two scoops. He just gave me the two scoops and when I went to use the spoon he gave me with the new ice cream, the spoon was extremely salty. It tasted like he dipped it into salt water or something. I will NEVER go back here and I will make sure to tell everyone I know about my horrible experience. This place should be ashamed of themselves. And you should definitely be changing the menu to say what has nuts in it. You can get sued if it isnt marked on the menu.

The service was not good, I felt like I was being rushed out of there when they werent even busy. I was given my check half way threw eating my dinner and I wasnt even asked if I wanted dessert or anything else. After being rudely interrupted I decided I wanted give somthing from the dessert menu a try I was stuck between the bannana split and the brownie sundae but I decided to choose the brownie because the bannana split said It contained nuts which I am severely allergic to. After two bites my throat swelled up and I started wheezing. When I asked the waitress if there were nuts because Im allergic she told me that "yes there are nuts and what do you want me to do about it?" Didnt even ask me if I was okay. I ended up going home and suffering from an anaphylactic reaction. My family and I will not be going back here.

This is by the far the best place I have ever dined at. The food is AMAZING, and they give you so much its awesome. The staff is very friendly, the place looks spotless and has a nice atmosphere. I just love how much food you get, you could probably order it to go and make it all last three meals of the day! Needless to say you definitely get your moneys worth at this place. Its especially good for someone like me since I stay up late and eat late, and every place else in Long Island closes at like 8 pm or something ridiculous like that (unless you go to Burger King, and Id rather not...) and this place is open 24/7. Highly highly recommended.

I am 52 years old and traveled the whole world and ate everything everywhere and I am here to tell you that this is the best diner in the world. It doesnt matter what you order, its all clean and good. All the standards of diner culture are done well here from breakfast to dinner. No, dont come here thinking that you are going to Jean George or Per Se. Everything is good including the coffee. Someone here is looking into everything in the chain and they have succeeded. I come here every time I visit stony brook.

Nottice the people giving it one star just wanted there money back. Shrimp at a diner???? Go to jordans lobster farm!!!! This is most likely the people of centereach. We had a great experience. The price reflected the quality of food and service. If you are living on your last dime, dont come here! If you dont mind spending a little money and expect something real and not out of the can than come here. I like to go to places that charge a little more. It keeps the dumpy people out. Really shrimp????

The manager or owner was constantly circling in his bright orange shirt, he took my plate personally when I was done, and I wasnt there too long, he was rude when I went to pay and I think he pushes the staff to keep asking if everythings ok to hint you should be going. Waitress was nice but he was like a shark. People next to me were so loud, also, not enough of a barrier. Food was great, a lot of it but that manager or owner was annoying and ruins the experience.

This menu is so huge as is typical of places like this ... theres something wrong with you if you cant find something you like. Portions are generous, service is Swift and friendly . However the prices are definitely New York prices. Pictured here is a Chicken Caesar Salad, and the Moussaka. A little heavy on the eggplant , and the sauce was a bit bland, but overall pretty good. The chicken caesar salad had more than an entire chicken breast sliced up on top.

This diner is everything a diner should be! The food is always outstanding. My early morning favorite is steak and eggs. I sub the homefries for lettuce and tomato. They have a variety of healthy choices. Real Maple syrup with an up charge ... But it is real maple syrup! Egg creams are yummy. I have never had a meal I didnt like here. I drive past three other diners to get to this one. The host is always friendly and the waitstaff professional and quick.

Very disappointed, went for a Gyro and Burger, Gyro was ok, to many tomoatoes, not an original Gyro at all, fries were ok, my wifes burger was sogy and the mushrooms smelled like dirt, she also got sick when we got home because the food didnt agree with her, not even time for desert. Very dissatisfying, waiter was nice, his expierence wasnt to nice though, no napkins no drinks, a waste of 54.00 smfh never again.

This is absolutely the best restaurant in Suffolk County! My wife and I lived in an apartment nearby the first three years but tried all of the diners and over time learned that none compare to it. We now live 30 minutes away from the diner and still choose to frequent the location on the weekends. Have not had a bad meal in 5 years since moving to NY. I do wish they would fully convert to organic foods.
