We would eat at The Brook House several times a year, until tonight. We called for reservations and the hostess said they put names on a call ahead list and advised us to just come right on in - there would be a short wait. Upon checking in, we were told it would be a few minutes. We waited almost an hour while friends of the owner (table of four) were seated before us even though they arrived 1/2 hour after us. There was a party of three before us too and they also noticed what happened with the owners friends. The party of three and our family (also three) tried to express our frustration about people arriving after us being seated before us, but the hostess couldnt care less. When we finally were seated and got our meals, the food was good, not stellar and WAY WAY overpriced. I cannot believe what they charged me to get a ladle of alfredo sauce on my pasta instead of marinara - $9.00!!! I ordered Chicken French which came with penne pasta and marinara for $19.00. I asked if they could put alfredo on the penne instead, waitress says yes and charges us $9.00 more....what a rip off!!! Are you joking me? $9.00 for a small ladle of alfredo on a side of pasta??? We had 1 small appetizer, 3 meals, 1 beer and soda. Our bill came to $82.00. The service was mediocre at best. As we were leaving, the owner thanked and said goodbye to people he knew (called them by name) and we were right behind them. The owner didnt acknowledge or thank us. Just them and turned away. Never again. Dont waste your time or money here because there are much better Italian restaurants in Rochester.

Friendly staff, but it cant make up for the horrendous food. Everything tastes like pre-cooked cafeteria slop that is reheated, followed by a half-hearted attempt to arrange it on your plate. Honestly, Olive Garden is way better than this, and I wouldnt call Olive Garden fine dining. The only reason Im giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is that they have an annual Thanksgiving dinner event with food that is actually pretty decent. Thanksgiving shows they either have a better supplier or someone there that can genuinely cook, which makes you wonder why the other 364 days of the year they serve sludge in various unappetizing colors.

Had a family dinner party at Red Fedeles. I called ahead to reserve a table and was told to call back when I left the house. I called back when we were on our way and still waited 45-mins for a table. The "hostess" was excessively rude and completely lacking in customer service skills. Our waitress was great and took good care of us though. The food was surprisingly mediocre for the price. If Im going to pay $15.00 for a slice of lasagna it shouldnt taste like pre-packaged frozen kind you pop in the oven at home when youre too lazy to cook. The red sauce is overly-sweet and lacking in finesse.

Not impressed, to say the least. It wasnt very busy when we went in at 7pm, sat at the table for about 25 minutes before our order was even taken. Penne pasta was ridiculously undercooked (definately not al dente) spoke to the manager who seemed to not really give 2 craps. They bright out new plates of pasta and it was exactly the same. No compensation on the bill. Was a party of 7 with a bill of almost $140 and 3 out of those 7 people ended up paying $20 each for two small pieces of chicken as the pasta was not edible. Will NEVER go back. Such a waste of $$. Live & learn!

We had a retirement party for a colleague last night and we couldnt have been more pleased. The staff was amazing. They did everything to make sure all our needs were met. The service and food were outstanding. It is rare that you encounter the owner of the restaurant making the rounds to say "hello" to everyone and make sure everyone is satisfied.. Many thanks for making our celebration wonderful. I highly recommend the the Brook House to anyone who wants just a wonderful meal or hosts a special event..

I got to say we have been there a few times now but lately the service and food quality has seemed to level out or go down. I feel bad cause Red is a nice man but I cant see anyone telling him when he comes around that the food was just mediocre or that the service was crap. Last time we were there I had the fish fry which was small and came out with no fries. 10 minutes later after needing to hunt down my server, here they came. About 8 fries on a plate. Wow!

My family went to the Brooke House for Mothers Day. At $27 per person it wasnt worth it! The beef and ham was very good. The tiny little cups that we meant for the fruit was a joke. We felt like we were taking shots of fruit. And when it came time for dessert they told us they had many pies to choose from. Then the waiter came back and only 2 pies to choose from and it Was FROZEN!! The dessert was FROZEN. I will not be returning EVER. Waste of money.

My family and I have eaten here for my entire life. Red isnt as involved in the day-to-day operations of the place as he used to be, but he still comes in for most of the busy dinner services to say hi and make sure youre comfortable in his familys establishment. Come in more than once, and hell remember you... Keep coming back and youre treated like family. The food is fantastic, portions are large, and despite the crowds, you still feel at home.

There is no place else Id rather enjoy a dish of pasta and glass of wine more than at Reds. Every time Ive eaten here its been a fabulous experience. The wait staff is gracious and helpful. Red, makes everyone feel welcome. The food is out of this world good. I especially love the eggplant parm and the rigatoni asiago, but there really isnt anything on the menu that isnt a treat. Im looking forward to eating here again and again!

Been coming here for years...the lunch menu has changed..Cant get a burger anymore or a chicken parm. Dinner menu still good but the prices on some items got really expensive. The owner still comes around to the table which is great. The serving staff has declined over the years and they still have this hostess who we try to avoid. She just has a fake smile and is rude.

Food was okay, but my experience was terrible. I came here for the first time for a family party and had a horrible waitress. Every single time I thanked her for her services I got an "mhmm" very rude and disrespectful. I will never come back here and I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone ever. Customer service should always be number 1

Always a great meal and exceptional service. Red (the owner) is a fantastic host! I love that he circulates to greet everyone and make sure that they enjoyed their meals. The tables are a little close together and it can get a bit noisy, so not a place I would bring a date, but it is a fantastic spot for a family gathering or group of friends!
