The food is hit or miss, although usually pretty good. Ordering takeout is a better experience. The interior has the look of a NYC sushi place but the kitchen is placed way too close to the seating area and you can smell the stench of fish (I know its a sushi place but you shouldnt have to smell all the fish you are eating from the kitchen) permeating the dining area. The prices are a little high as well.

Kumos food was great. Everything was fresh and the presentations were that of an artist. Pros: Its not a large restaurant so you get close attention; can shoot over to the bar to check out the score on the flat screen too. Cons: only beer and wine for now. Overall I would say food and atmosphere is akin to that of Wasabi in Nyack, but Kumo is a smaller venue and comes at a reasonable price.

Phenomenal is the only word that describes Kumo. I was visiting a client in the area, a co-worker and myself went based on the clients suggestion. We shared a dumpling app., which was delicious. The sheer amount of food is well worth your bill, even though for a app a dinnercombo and a specialty roll came to $30 a person. Well worth the trip, if you want good food or looking for a date.

Like going to a art deco restaurant in Manhattan. You will be amazed at the ambience when you walk in: "can this really be Pearl River?" you will not believe it! The food was terrific and the best Japanese in Pearl River, miles ahead of the ONCE superb Kiko House.

Definitely not hibachi even though it came up as a hibachi place on a restaurant search. Food wasnt good. We were told "the food is done another way in other places. Its not done that way here." No sauces, rice was gross. Wont return.

Really nice, chic ,cool spot. really nice. Got there around 945 they were kicking us out by 1130. Music off an waitress starring LOL. Food was good. Nothing on Wasabi tough
