I am local and have been going there for years. They have good food although not as good or plentiful as in prior years. One complaint: They have the worst gravy ever! The same orange colored stuff comes on turkey, mashed potatos, beef, chicken, meatloaf, whatever. Tastes like cinnamon or cloves! Have they never heard of a savory dark brown gravy, or a light chicken gravy (depending on what you order)? Sorry, but its the sauces that make the dish.

It was great! Dont worry, the bathroom is clean now. I think the person who said it was filthy and smelly was there before they cleaned it. There are great deals! If you order from the kids menu you can get Ice cream, pudding, and other desserts and you can get milk or soda as a add on. Plus, all these add ons are FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went with a large group. The staff came to take our order quickly. The interior was clean and the table layout was uncrowded. I thought they did a fine job with their Monte Cristo sandwich that came with sweet potato fries. I would go back again and bring my family.

Constantly, this establishment messes up to-go orders. Others diners in the area rarely mess up as much as Putnam. The icing on the cake is that you can order one thing and end up with another. Every order turns into a grab bag, do they care? Probably not.

Fast, friendly service. Food was far better than I expected from a diner. Price was very reasonable. The sweet potato fries were just the right amount of crispy and sweet. If I find myself in this area again I would definitely stop here.

We have eaten at many restaurants while visiting New York. This was by far the best sit down and eat some good home cooked food we have had. The variety was excellent and accommodates many tastes. The Deserts are Awesome!!

Pretty decent diner. Was suggested to go here by a friend who lives nearby and was not disappointed. Staff were on point (even the new girl who was still learning the ropes was on top of everything). Cant go wrong here.
