If you want a good homestyle breakfast that rivals any youll have in Long Beach without the wait, then youve found the place! Good pancakes, home fries are always fresh and tasty. My favorite is their spanikopita and baklava, made by Olympia, the waitress. The coffee is better than any diner coffee, which usually is weak and uninteresting. Island Park diner serves Greek coffee-which packs a punch and is very flavorful. I dont understand why this place hasnt caught on and I hesitate opting this, for fear it will become over-crowded. The food is hearty and tastes like home. The service is friendly and fast, the prices are fair-so no more wrestling the crowds in Long Beach or Point Lookout.
