WORST. I felt very uncomfortable when I arrive and see a very deranged young supremely badly managed, dirty, yellow shirt and white shorts, broken tennis, and shuffling, had flu and nose wiped his hand, then I saw him cleaning tables and said ok, the will not meet me, then came a lady with the same super dirty clothes and wet pants said he was the one to the drink and was rego water, was not only the water was his clothes spattered with fruit and so attended, total spend as 4 people serving us and finally the one that brought my meal was the "waiter" k vi wiping his snot hand and Quee? Brought two trays in each hand with two fingers stuck playing rice and other meat .. Worst service We just wanted to look at the menu before being seated and they told us "menus are for paying customers only", then once we ate inside they failed to inform us that refills are not covered until after they charged me. The drinks they gave us were definitely not enough to hold us through an entire meal. WE WERE PRACTICALLY CHOKING ON OUR FOOD BEFORE THE WAITER CAME OVER AND ASKED IF WE NEEDED DRINKS. once we disputed this with the manager, he told us that "this isnt Applebees refills are not free" and some bullshit about having to pay his workers and thats why refills shouldnt be free. Ill take my business to "Applebees" then, since you guys think a small glass of soda can hold anyone through a big meal.

This has been my favorite restaurant! I am always open to new things and trying to always strive for better restaurants. But i have been coming here since i was a child.. (the brentwood one too, although i live closer to this branch). They remain the same over the years and keep there food constant.. which means you will always get the same high quality, same tasting meal you have ordered last time. It will never taste different... unless you change entrees. But it is to die for.. No matter if you ordered rice and beans or soup last year.. if you have it again or next week it will always taste the same deliciousness.

Food-wise... very surprising! Any seasoning used in the cooking isnt strong which allows the original flavors of meats, broth, corn meal and more to come through... but it can also result in a plain meal. However, theres this green salsa containing bites of salt and vinegar. When placed over the meal... wow! I enjoyed the simplicity of the meal. I think both the decor inside and outside need to be updated because the plainness of appearance actually doesnt help the meal inside. Even the service wasnt memorable.

This place use to be my favorite restaurant when i was a little boy. This restaurant has a small dining room but they have good staff. The food here use to be great years ago but lately their food is very flavorless many of my friends and family think the same way also we usually opt to go to a different restaurant nowadays they need to bring the old chef back or change to a new chef that knows how to cook!!!

The service is very slow. They bring one plate at a time which its very weird if you are 4 in a table. Some of the plates were already cold by the time the last one came out. The drinks are the same way , one came out and the rest was left for last. Dont really understand how they take the orders at the same time but the food comes out one by one. Other than that it was ok.

Its delicious! Really big portions for a good price. You literally eat enough there and still have plenty to take home. Im not Colombian or Hispanic but I am Brazilian (non Spanish speaking country but still Latino), and I must say mi tierrita does taste like home. No matter where youre from. It reaches the heart of Latino soul food. Home made and with love.

Recent visit: 09/02/2016 Food is authentic Colombian cuisine. Very tasty. Although it seems larger, too jammed packed. Fight almost broke out due to two large mens chairs bumping into each others. They can do without less tables and definitely better serving staff. Both times Ive been to the Patchogue location, service was terrible.

So so sooooo good! Great little spot that is absolutely worth taking family and friends to. They have a fun cinco de mayo celebration too and their food is to die for. Bring a designated driver with you or call a cab because their Sangria is out of this world and youll never want the pitcher to finish!

The food is good, but unfortunately the service is not. They are slow, maybe because they havent got enough staff, and they are young. Mi Tierrita needs to hire more staff and professional. The food I give 3 stars, the service I give between 1 and 2 stars.

Outstanding food and service, highly recommend the Typical Platter, its delicious.. fresh ingredients are used in all their dishes.. this is authentic Colombian food at its finest.. eat here and you will not be disappointed.

Fresh ingredients and a subdued atmosphere make this a nice place to eat if youre in the mood for something different. Try the arroz con pollo, or chicken soup. Everything is fresh and "home made".
