... Horrible ... I mean horrible ... Service. If you go ... Be prepared to be ignored ... Served separately and wait.... Now .. that wasnt my table ... That was the other couple we watched across the dinning room. We have been here twice... Both times we were seated right away and then totally ignored. Spans of over 10 minutes waiting for your server while bus boys pace the room. For goodness sake let the bus boy bring drinks. For a place that touts itself as being run by "hamptons owners" the service is deplorable. We did watch one tall male waiter literally jumping through hoops for his tables, however the rest ... Both times a hige disappointment. The host ... Totally oblivious peacock ... Who struts through as if hes posing for a selfie. I would NOT recommend this place when there are so many other options with far better service in town. It is very rare that I give a poor review. Until they step up service ... Spend somewhere else. #k10friends I review professionally ... no matter how good the food and beer selection ... Spend your money where you can get good service. I asked my waitress for the managers email because I am a professional reviewer... I even disclosed that I contribute to a local magazine. Totally ignored the request. Talking to other locals, they had similar experiences. German place with no spatzel and a big ball of mash potatoes they call dumpling. If you go ... just grab a beer and pretzel at the bar.

Love this place, although there never appears to be many people dining in, possibly due to the competition from the trite and trashy bars that litter Patchogue. This is the only place I go to when Im in the village. They serve beer in an actual stein, not some hipster jar. And you even have the opportunity to drink a full stein (full liter) rather than from a pint-sized glass. Someone else on here stated that this place lacked German "atmosphere" or something or other. Theres beer. What ancillary "atmospheric" quality were you referring to? Real beer (Germans brew the best) and great food. Highly recommend the all-hours burger. By far one of the best burgers I have ever had. As far as wait times, if it takes a while, sit down, have a drink and maybe an actual conversation without burying your face in an iphone.

Our recent experience sorry to say was very poor, all around. Though the waitress tried she was inexperienced, forgot plates, salad and the soup that came with the dinner. The table designed for four was cramped to accommodate five. We requested to speak to the manager regarding the service and food and he never appeared. The potato pancakes were nothing more than mash potato flattened and fried, cod fish, unseasoned, grand daughters chicken fingers, barely warm, schnitzel , very dry and the half chicken (October Chicken) also very dry with cold dumplings. Being a immigrant from Germany I can assure, this not German food. Always will gladly pay for a good experience this was not. I am a person of integrity and I will always give credit when due but this was very disappointing.

Look elsewhere. Pros: -You wont have a problem if youre just grabbing a drink at the bar. Cons: -Service is slow. Waiters and waitresses work as hard as they can, but there arent enough of them. -For the price, the food quality is sub-par. The veggies and bread looked store-bought from the frozen food aisle. -Half of the tables have uncomfortable benches rather than individual seats, I assume for "aesthetic." Supposedly regulars call ahead specifically to reserve tables with chairs, which means newcomers are relegated to the benches. Makes more sense to get rid of the benches entirely if people prefer tables with chairs. -Families ought to look elsewhere (it is a bar after all), especially on sports nights when people get roaring loud and roaring drunk.

Okay not the best food at all. I wont be back. First the perogies tasted like they were form Costco. The spatzel with cheese tasted like the pretzel dipping sauce there was not much to it. I expected better. The service was slow. Ordered both ciders by the bottle on the menu both sold out. So they offered me what they have on tap instead (mckenzies and aces) I get it you run out it happens but it was upsetting you were out of both. The fried pork was bland and needed some seasoning. The bill was so badly messed up due to server and kitchen errors and it took forever to get it fixed. The best part was the Riesling bottle.

Went here yesterday for the first time since it was J&Rs.The food was ok,the wait time for the food was long. They ran out of ice cream for my daughters dessert and only offered rice pudding which she didnt want.Nothing else was offered so she got nothing. How do you run out of ice cream? The noise level was annoying due to a large group of loud mouths that came in and nothing was said to them from management. NOT good when dining.Manager was present but never stopped by our table at all didnt look like his personality cared much about the patrons.Dont think well return again.

on a recent visit my wife and I had bad service and worse food. We ordered 2 Octoberfest specials which included soup , the soup took 15 minutes to come out and was cold, to give some credit to the bartender who was doing triple duty as barback, waitress and busboy. My wifes favorite is spaetzle, the spaetzle arrived at the table so cold that the butter didnt even melt. When we told the manager about our issues with the meal , he apologized but made no real effort to "make it right" , usually the item is taken off the bill or comp a dessert. We will not be going back there .

Most entrees are very good. Service is awful backed by a manager that doesnt appear to care. Took us 2 1/2 hours to eat. After getting table 20 minutes before waitress appears. Another 20 minutes for drinks to be served. Followed by 25 minutes for salad. Enters served 1:45 after seating. Rice pudding dessert was more soup than pudding. Complaints to manager was disregarded.

Took forever to get our food (1hr and 20 mins) and we were the only 4 people in there, our waitress left and never came back they had to replace her. Once food came it was wrong with the exception of 1 out of the 4 dinners. Felt bad for the waitress that took over because she kept apologizing for other peoples mistakes. First time there and it is now my last.

Worst $65 Ive spent on dinner in along time. Poor excuse for a beer hall. If you like piss, this is for you. Ordered a Delirium and had to ask for a glass!!. Are you kidding me? Service was sub par. Would not recommend. Had a better meal at Applebees and thats not saying much. Totally disappointed

The owner and manager Dan has no people skills nor do they have compassion. My niece almost lost her finger in a bicycle accident and all Dan cared about was why I didnt call ! No, oh how is she or will she be ok. I got we cant hire you cause you were to busy to call us and let us know!!

Service is the worst. Sat there for 25 minutes no waitress came to take order or say hello. They help was all congregating or the side of the bar yapping and laughing. The place was pretty much empty at the time. We walked out.
