Horrible!! Owner Kathy was just so OBNOXIOUS! The way she handled this was appalling. I had my sons baptism party scheduled for yesterday at 4Pm. I had confirmed and reconfirmed several times about tables that were going to be set under the tent. I even confirmed the night before, needless to say I got to the party and they had the patio furniture out, not the dinner tables they had promised. I complained immediately to manager Josh and I got no real answer as to why. At that point my guests where already there and they couldnt change ten tables! I was very upset. The dessert table was not set as promised.. cookies and cupcake stand was not even put together. I had one on my friends rush to put it together and put cupcakes on and set it. Again,Upsetting! Appetizers were supposed to come out. They were samples, not appetizers. Barely existant. UPSETTING!! The bar was supposed to be just for my party. Thats what they had said when i booked. well, there were at least 40-50 people around the bar at the entire time of our party. Gawking, ordering drinks probably on our dime, and even coming into out party taking cupcakes and dancing on our floor!! needless to say IRRITATING! The table numbers were set wrong. People where confused!! And the kicker : at the end of the party, we were given a $2400 bar bill. I didnt know weather to scream or laugh.. 51 adults of which 5 dont drink alcohol the two managers made an attempt to help figure out what was going on, as it was an inaccurate, overinflated, PADDED bill. Between them telling me that we drank all that (which we DID NOT) they offered to take 500 dollars off the already padded bill as if that should be enough. I was so tired, irritated and upset at that point that I asked for them to have the owner call me and left. This morning, after I texted the manager that it was extremely dissapointing, I got a HOSTILE call from the owner Kathy Remo. Her first sentence was "Hi this is Kathy Remo, owner at Snapper Inn and Im insulted that you didnt tip my managers". This woman, who called herself the owner, proceeded to yell and talk over me, berate me and question me. I explained entire night and she didnt want to hear anything. She only wanted to hear herself yell. I asked her why the tables where not the right ones, why there were no appetizers? why would I tip the managers who were trying to rip us off? and why the bar bill was padded?? she said that the bar staff where her niece and nephew and that the managers did their best. I told her that the food was good and so was the location and so were the waiters, she on the other hand was very unprofessional, unapologetic and unreasonable in handling this. I told her I would post a review and warn people and she said she didnt care, that the customers would still come. I asked her several times how she would feel if she walked into her party and had all this hapen to her... she offered no answer of course, she kept twisting and deflecting. I told her that they ripped us off at the bar, and asked her why there were 40 strangers/other people at the same bar as our party and how could her niece and nephew know who to charge and who was with my party and who was not!.. Her answer was that "they knew.. Sadly didnt offer a solution and was rude entire conversation. I informed her that I would contact the Better Business Bureau. She then screamed and yelled and hung up on me. Thank God it was a small party of intimate family members and we could have a nice time in a walk-in closet. I would never go there again! PLEASE BEWARE of the lies and promises! Watch your bar tab!!!

Everything Snapper Inn had to offer us sounded great but in actually wasnt. For instance, 1) they told us that our wedding cake was included. When we got to the bakery, the bakery told us only a plain sheet cake was included. We ended up shelling out an extra $700 to have a 4 tier cake with some shells added. 2) they told us that our centerpieces were included. When I got to the florist I ended up finding out that only $15 dollars for each centerpiece was allowed. I told the florist that I wanted to make sure my centerpieces were no more than $20 so this way we didnt have to pay more than $5 for a centerpiece. Two days before the wedding the florist called me and told me that my centerpieces were $55 each and I had to pay her $900 or my flowers wouldnt be there, including my bouquets and bouteniers which I had ALREADY paid over $500 for. After all of that, the florist completely screwed up my bouquet of flowers and my centerpieces were delivered 15 minutes AFTER the reception already started. 3) Snapper Inn promised us that we would be the only event that day all the way up till the day before the wedding and that we would have use of the entire lawn. The day of the wedding they had 3 other parties going on and they kept telling our guests that they werent allowed to be in certain places. On top of all of that, NONE of our drinks, hors doeuvres or crudités were out in time for the cocktail hour and they completely "forgot" to make all of our warm food for the cocktail hour. All of our beers were warm. Some of the food was awful. They were completely short staffed. Half of our guests never had their water glasses filled. And those are only a few of the complaints we voiced to the owner after the wedding. In response, he offered us a complimentary dinner for 10. Some of our friends have offered to take us there for our one year anniversary this August, but I dont think I would ever give them my business again.

I have frequented many restaurants and have had my fair share of good and bad service but this was by far the worst. I went their with my family this evening and upon arriving was not even seated but told to go find a seat outside. While this isnt a deal breaker it should ben a strong indication of where the rest of the night was headed. After being seated we waited 25 mintues just to get menus!! It was not like it was busy outside either, a lot of the waitstaff was just hanging over by the bar. We had to say something several times until we were actually brought them. The only reason we ever stayed that long was because I had gone over to the outside bar and gotten us a round of drinks. When the waitress finally came to set down the menus she basically told us here is the dinner menu and stuff, the bar menu with stuff and the another menu with stuff. For the prices you pay their waitresses should really be a tad bit more versed, add to that that she never introduced herself, never apologized and she basically tossed the menus at us. Never have I seen such blatant disregard for customers. After another 15 minutes went by and no one had come over to take our order, give us bread, water, nothing, we finally got up and walked out. Forget about the food, the service goes beyond poor. The real kicker is, that a minute after we got up to walk away, we turned around and their was a waitress at the table picking up the menus! You have got to be kidding me. I am a local and after hearing negative rumors about this place, was weary, apparently, with good reason. I shall not be returning and will tell others I know to stay away. There are plenty of other great places to eat on the island, dont waste time and aggravation here.
