My wife and I recently went to Lexington Square Cafe after deciding to try a "new" spot to us since we needed to start dining at restaurants in northern Westchester now that we reside there in lieu of southern Westchester where we used to live. We chose Lexington since we had heard good things. The Blue Dolphin in Katonah and the Rose Room also came up, but we just wanted a somewhat relax atmosphere. I had the french onion soup as it was the soup special that night, and the PEI mussels in a fra diavolo. My wife had a house salad to start and the pesto chicken sandwich. The french onion soup was fantastic. Hot, flavorful and voluminous.....it was not small. My wifes house salad was clean, crisp and fresh but could have used more dressing. Now the "entrees". The PEI mussels were very good. Approximately 15-18 but dont let that deter you here, they were gigantic! Aside from their size, they were fresh, the fra diavolo sauce was perfect and the toasted bread wedges were the perfect end of the meal top off. Dip them in the remaining fra diavolo sauce and you will not leave hungry. My wifes pesto chicken sandwich looked perfect. A thick chicken breast on bottom, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, arugla and generous amount of pesto were all sandwiched together by a very soft yet crunchy piece of ciabatta. Just to clarify the ciabatta, it was soft enough to squish down (and you need to because the sandwich is big) and crunchy (not enough to cut the top of your mouth, i hate when bread is like that). The sweet potato fries were cooked perfect and the side of honey mustard she asked for was delicious. The service was great also. The timing of your meal was on point; came out to our table about 2 minutes after our appetizers ended. Two reasons I did not give this restaurant a 5. One was because due to my diet restrictions this time, I only ate low carb items. Next time we go I will try other, more exotic and flavorful items. The second reason it did not get a five is because my go to restaurant is Beehive in Armonk and although Lexington Grill Cafe is on the same level, it just did not "wow" me like Beehive does every time I go and with every new item I try. I would recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back soon!

Its simple, they want to kill you! The last time we were in was awhile ago and I vowed never to go back. They wanted to kill you! It was soft shell crab season and the crabs came out very green. They were uncooked! Let me say that again, THEY were UNCOOKED! I sent them back and the waitress brought them back out and told me that they were cook perfectly. HUH? you are going to argue with a customer when his wife, a professional chef is sitting next to him? The waitress proceeds to tell us how she is from Baltimore and this is how they are served. NO, Im sorrry honey, these bastards are raw! They took them back, and I ate a salad. Our friends could NOT believe what went down on that night at the totally crappy LEX Square. I have Never been insulted, or called a fool by any staff in any restaurant, and we dine all over NYC and the world! If you eat here, you could wind up in the ER!! Maybe the morgue?

Lexington Square Cafe makes an excellent and perfectly cooked Filet Mignon every time. The pairing with garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables and brandy peppercorn gravy sauce is superb. Top it off with a martini and James Bond would be proud.

Great selection of food and well prepared. It seemed a little random, but as long as it tastes great, who cares. The decor inside also seems a little random. There was ample seating, so it was great for a business lunch. Plenty of parking.

Lexington has always produced a tasty meal with some innovative menu items. Service always pleasant, though can be a little slow when busy. Gets loud when full. Nice wine list.
