Went to celebrate Fathers Day for my husband. We always eat here for special occasions.We called ahead to order a special dessert for my husband to be delivered as a surprise while we had coffee and tea at the end of the meal. The dessert never arrived- they totally forgot! The meal was OK- my son had a vegetable side dish that was so salty it was inedible. The waitress told us that has happened before, but still charged us for them. Overall the service was on the slow side, the rest of the meal was OK, not great. When we left, I wrote a note on our bill to let them know how disappointed we were that they completely forgot our special dessert that we called ahead to reserve. They had our contact info from the reservation and still didnt try to reach us to apologize. Obviously they dont care. Well be celebrating our special occasions at other local restaurants from now on.

Ive lived in the Pawling / Patterson area for over over twenty years and McKinney & Doyle is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the tri-state area. Initially starting out as a small bakery just outside the center of town, M&D has grown to an excellent restaurant, top notch bakery, and a superb fixture in the local community. Ive been to both the restaurant and bakery more times than I can count and cannot recall an unpleasant experience. I also commend chef, Shannon Mckinney for relying heavily on produce, as well as meat/fish from the Hudson Valley. Wether youre looking for a wonderful sit down meal with friends or in the need of a quick coffee/pastry, stop by Mckinney and Doyle today!

Brought my 8 year old son and 79 year old mother to sit in the soda shop for an old fashion soda experience. It was my sons idea, because we have done this in the past, and he wanted to bring his grandmother. We sat for 20 minutes while THREE girls behind the counter chatted to each other and never acknowledged us. New customers entered the bakery for coffee and were served, still no one approached us. As we exited, one girl informed us (as she ate a pastry) that there is no service at the counter. As I stated we had sat there in the past. She could have been told us this while we sat, and not as we exited. VERY disappointing afternoon.

10 dollar minimum for credit cards is obnoxious. Went in once for a coffee and ended up walking out with 9 bucks worth of muffins. Out of principle Ill never walk back in again regardless of the service and food quality. Id rather pay 50 cents to use my credit card which is far more than the 2.5÷ your merchant services provider charges you. Get new merchant services and Ill come back in. Also, when Im at 9.30 cents... just run the fuc#ing card, dont make me get another muffin to make it over 10 bucks, its slimy business practices. Also, who the fuc# doesnt take discover card these days.

Absolutely perfect. We went for our wedding anniversary, the entire staff made an effort to come over to our table and acknowledge our event. They also gave us drinks on the house. The food was amazing. If you dont know(we didnt) Monday and Tuesday they have a different menu, very different from the normal dinner menu and it was soooo good. They also have a bakery that is very reasonably priced, we order from there when we dont have time to bake for our family events. I would give them more stars if I could!!

My family loves Mckinney and Doyle. When we are having a celebration, its the first place we all want to go. The menu is always so inspiring and the food delicious and fresh. My mom and I also go at the weekends to get specialty foods when we have guests. We adore the fresh and chunky guacamole dip (and our guests do too). The sourdough raisin bread, peach chicken salad, and the chocolate banana bread are also favorites of ours. This is such a gem to have in Pawling and we are so glad they are part of the town.

The Fine Foods Cafe is a treat. The food is always a pleasure (need italics for that) and the atmosphere is always warm and cordial. OK for a business meeting, very very nice for a romantic celebration, and absolutely perfect for a happy gathering of friends and family. Never miss a chance to eat here. Tip: for the weekend brunch there is usually a 20 minute wait. First; its worth it, and second, this a nice amount of time to spend a couple doors down in the delights of the "Book Cove" books & antiques.

McKinney and Doyle is not only an excellent restaurant, but they are continuously giving back to the community. They are very generous in many ways and has contributed to The Ryan McElroy Childrens Cancer Foundation in many ways. The food is delicious, staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable, and the setting is beautiful. Thank you to the entire staff and Shannon McKinney for giving back and being a wonderful restaurant to be in and eat at in our fine town of Pawling, NY.

Not only is the food absolutely scrumptious but the service is by far the best in this area and you have to rival it to any place in Manhattan as well. We truly love the personal attention and it is worth the wait and yes, when you are that good at what you do as far as a restaurant there is almost always a wait. Peace

Best breakfast in the Patterson area. Visit here!!! The waitress was super nice, she was quick and made us laugh. I had the best breakfast food I have had in a long time. (from a restaurant) The waitress said if they had the ingredients, the would make you whatever you asked. A little pricey but no bad, not bad at all.

This place has that old town vibe and a super friendly staff. The service is excellent and the drinks are superb. Spent the day at the bar with my friend on a day off just enjoying it all. Definitely hit the place off. Like taking a time machine back to the 50s, but with a modern twist on the food and drinks.

Went here recently for the first time, the decor was very nice, full bar and nice sitting area. The food was very good and the wait staff was very knowledgeable, I tend to ask for their recommendation so that actually worked out well. All in all a very nice dinner in Pawling.

I go here for gourmet pancakes and corn beef hash. Pancakes are fluffy and delicious . You get about 3 of them. They give you fresh maple syrup also. Amazing. Corn beef hash has onions in it the way I like it. Awesome. Highly recommend. I heard they do thanksgiving also.

Ok, I would actually rate this 11 (out of possible 5, never mind 10)! The food is simply awesome. So good, I dont care about prices (even with premium prices, lines are out the door). And actually, with few exceptions, the service is consistently great.

We purchased baked goods for the holidays and the pies were raw. I am truly surprised and disappointed that these were even offered for sale. We will be getting all our baked goods from the Pastry Garden from now on.
