Youd never expect to find ANY sort of business out this way. From any direction, you drive across miles of sparsely-inhabited roads to find the Welch Cabin. But once you find it, a glowing beacon of neon and woodwork, you can breathe easy and relax into a warm, casual evening of food and drink. Rustic, low-key, and rough-around-the-edges in all the right ways, the Welch Cabin is punctuated by a woodstove in the winter and a large deck in the summer. This is a great place to come for a meal or just to meet for a drink. Currently the bar is open for dinner hours during the week, and for lunch & dinner on weekends, but closed on Tuesdays. The waitstaff is warm and friendly, and the typical patrons are long-time locals. Youll find couples seated in the corners, whole families gathered around one of the large 8-top tables, and at the bar youll find groups of friends who seem to be regular fixtures. The menu is typical pub fare with the addition of a nice specials board. The Cabin is famous for "Sizzling Steaks," served on hot iron skillets and making all kinds of a racket as they come out of the kitchen to your table. Ive found nirvana in their "honey-hot" chicken wings, ordered well-done. Vegetarians may be a little hard-pressed to find something filling, but I wouldnt really hold the Cabin accountable to satiate a vegetarian palate. Its just not that kind of place. One other thing worth noting: the Welch Cabin is one of the few places in this area to have Guinness on tap. I have sampled draft Guinness at several bars nationwide and find that its quality can vary significantly from bar to bar. The Guinness at Welchs is wonderful. Just wonderful.

Ive had their steak and their prime rib so far... so tasty! Food is prepared just the way you like it! Warm, cozy, friendly atmosphere. There are dollar bills (of different denominations) stuck to the wooden ceiling in a clever way...and if there is a family in need in the community, the Welsh family donates all of this money to help. I love that!

Great burgers, great wings, great atmosphere, great people. The burgers here are huge and the people are so nice. TVs to watch the games and the wings are so dam good. Wed 5:00-8:45 $6 wing baskets

This place is great--tons of character. The steaks are delicious and actually cooked the way you order them, which seems unusual these days. Its cash only, and they dont have an ATM, so bring money!

Atmosphere was very nice with an authentic log cabin look and feel. The menu has a decent selection to choose from including a kids menu for children under the age of 12.
