Just left the Dakota. Our first (and last) visit there. We all had to come home and shower because of the tremendous number of FLIES in the dining room area ( God knows what the kitchen was like?) The waitress said it is always bad in August!!,?? Musty smell throughout restaurant. .No flexibility on subbing a prime rib for a lobster tail on the special @ 24.95. Flies continued to land on us, our food and the tables through dinner. The prime rib was HALF fat and when we told the waitress who agreed and took the meal back to kitchen she said the chef said prime rib is always fatty and at most they can give us the veterans discount which, by the way, should be teservef for veterans only. We packed up most of the meal to eat at home in a cleaner environment. The payoff... when the bill came the discount was on only the one dinner. Never again!

Tonight went in for their fish fry, food was great but the waitstaff was horrible along with the "bus boys". Ordered our food and arrived in a timely manner, that was the last I saw of anyone until we completed our meal. The bread basket was empty, had to keep taking butter from another table because I wanted more but no one checked in on us. "Bus Boy" and I made eye contact yet he choose to ignore my signaling more butter was needed. Server didnt come by until the dinner was consumed and only then did the "bus boy" come by to pick up our plates. We were never asked if more drinks were needed, never asked if we needed anything else - nothing. Food dropped off, dished picked up when done...that was it. Food is good, service needs much improvement, dont go if you expect good service.

worst experience ever!! There were 3 of us waiting for a party of 8 and the owner would not seat us until they arrived. She kept telling us to call them,they were on their way and were 10 minutes late. Placed our order and waited 11/2 hours for the food to arrive, but they were cold. Also for the dinner prices of $25+ we were served a 1/2 of potato. We inquired and were told they always serve a 1/2 of potato with their dinners. We asked to speak to the owner and she told us she didnt realize we were waiting so long even though thru out the dinner she was standing 5 feet away from us. Never again

We eat at the Dakota about twice a month and have been going there for years. In all the years weve gone weve only had one bad experience, it was a Friday night (packed as always) and we had to wait almost 2 hours to be seated. At the time I wasnt very happy but the food and service were excellent as always so worth the wait. The menu offers a bit of everything from pasta to seafood and steak. Theres also a bar menu for those who arent up for a bigger meal and plenty of food choices for the kids. I would definately recommend the Dakota if you want a great meal.

We were at The Dakota Grill tonight for dinner and let me tell you that will never happen again. The food was terrible, service was great. I cant blame the waitress for the food. We cost us 90.00 and never again. I ordered the Filet with asparagus and crabmeat with a bernaise sauce and it was horrible. Canned crabmeat, cold asaparagus and horrible tasting bernaise sauce. The place was sweltering hot. Come on people put some money into the place.I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We have always had a really good experience here, food was always really good. The last time we went there to eat we had a terrible service experience. The server did not come back to us often to check on us and also took forever to get our bill. In the meantime after we had gotten our meal the kitchen staff decided to play death metal music so loud we could hear it at full blast in the dining room. It completely ruined our experience there and will probably never go back.

Horrible experience. Save yourself the time and money and stay home. I spent extra money and the filet I ordered was dry and tasteless. The staff was rude and did not bring us any bread after they told us 3 times it was on its way. Finally, here is the kicker, the place was 90 degrees in there. Invest some money in air conditioning or fans. Other than that, dont count on my business again.

Excellent menu & the food is very good...great atmosphere...the staff is very efficient & very friendly...they recognize their regulars even if you havent been there in a while...I know because my husband & I experienced just that tonight....I recommend this place to friends & family all the time.

Just moved into hilton and the bar remind me of a bar back home.The staff are really friendly. The service when it come to drinks or food is wright on.There food is one of the finest food that you can have .

Great salads, sandwiches, and specials. Menu from appetizers to steak. Fantastic seafood choices, the best seafood menu around. Scallops, halibut, clams, lobster...even the fish fry is awesome.

Exceptional food! The steak is fantastic, and the Haddock Dakota is great! Staff is always well trained and pleasant. I would go here for dinner over any other place around, hands down!

Good food, especially the Surf n Turf special. Usually very good service ever since they got rid of this one woman.. Smells bad after a good rain and during the Spring thaw.

A great atmosphere that is welcoming the second you walk through the door. The wait staff are very friendly. Its a good place for a simple meal and some hospitality.

You have to try the lobster bisque here. It was fantastic. I really enjoyed the whole meal, the service, and the OTB. I absolutely recommend the Dakota Grill.
