have stayed here a few times in the past few years and have never had an issue. This past weekend I stayed at the turf, and cannot fathom how incredibly downhill this motel has gone. The General Manager Tiffany was very rude and needs to take some customer service classes. Even worse, when checking in the owner was standing right in the doorway. He did nothing. Come to find out the General Manager is his daughter. He really needs to do something about his management staff. It may be a few dollars cheaper to stay here, but I would rather pay more elsewhere and get treated with respect. I definitely do not recommend staying here unless you dont mind unfriendly people that seem to not be happy with where they work. The owner Mr. Marcus really needs to reevaluate the employees that are handling customers. On and positive note, the cleaning staff was very friendly, and that is the only positive thing I have to say.

The motel was not what I had expected when I arrived, for the $180 I had to pay! when I walked into the lobby there was a scent I assume from the old carpet that they have. My room was very tiny to be a suite, the chair in the room had looked as if a dog had shedded , the carpet was not vacuumed and to top it off it was human hair on my pillow! If this was a 3.8 star motel I would hate to imagine what a 2 star looks like! Thanked God i had packed my own sheets and comforter. It felt as if I was consumed to my bed once it was made; to scared to walk on the carpet or sit in the chair! I will not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!

Was a little leary after reading some of the reviews prior to our visit, didnt know what to expect. Was very impressed, from the staff, to the layout, and the accommodations. Very professional front desk, room was a little different of a layout that Im used to, be perfect, and our room was close (in walking distance) to the lounge and restaurant. By the way, Hope in the lounge was AWESOME!!! She made us feel like we were regulars even though it was my first time. The complimentary breakfast hit the spot as well. Looking forward to booking our next visit back real soon.

The older part to the Motel needs to be torn down... The walkway outside of our 2nd floor room was so slanted, looked like it was ready to fall at anytime.. Room was somewhat clean but very outdated. Shower was meant for someone who was only 5 feet tall. floors creaked, toilet was loose, etc. We were given vouchers for a Free Buffet breakfast. Got there at 8:30, Eggs looked horrible, and the rest of the buffet was empty. Waitress was too busy talking to notice that there was no food on the buffet. I got a cup of coffee & we went to McDonalds across the street.

Do not eat at this place, it is expensive and the quality of the food does not match the price we paid. Our bill was over $100.00. My steak came to me late, it was dry and cold. My daughters cheeseburger, had more bread than a burger and the best part -- there was no cheese. My nephews chicken strips looked more like the size of baby shrimps and there was no meat. They added the gratuity amount to the bill as well, which was over $17.00 and the service was lousy. Our food came late and cold, and was not at all edible in any way.

This is a fine place to stay. The rates are reasonable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I am writing this review using the Turfs free Wi-Fi. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel - again, the prices were very reasonable. Everything was tasty, particularly the turtle cheese cake! The Turf is located right next to the Hollywood Casino, and it seems like they remodeled recently. Our room came with a jacuzzi - cant really go wrong there! I will definitely stay here again =)

If you do not smoke, you will not like the hotel lobby. The lobby reeks and it just opened last year. There are two sections of the motel. The new section opened in 2007 but the old section must have been built in the 1970s. It has not been updated and the ceilings are about six feet six inches high. The old part rooms are about $95 and the new part rooms are about $130. There is a restaurant and bar attached to the new part.

Do not reserve a room here. We were going out for the evening and wouldnt ya know, we walked in our room and it was molded, mildewed, musty and you could not even breathe in there. Went to the front desk and told the person there and she said nothing. Needless to say we did not spend the night, they would not reverse the charge or offer a different room. I highly recommend you find another hotel this one is terrible. Chris Z

The service was great however the food was awful. Salad had hard tomatoes no croutons and the dressing was from a bottle. ( maybe Im spoiled) but 25.00 dinner I was expecting a little flavor. I even got rosemary butter on my steak garlic potatoes but not much taste , I was just a little disappointed leaving half my dinner there. Normally I would get a Togo box but this wasnt worth taking

What a dump! Very rude service. Worst hotel experience for my family. Only stay if you are low on cash, into drugs, and have a gambling need. Motel 6 or red roof inn is higher class. Room smelled along with hallway, nothing worked, screwed up my parents reservation... They didnt apologize, just told us that this "happens all the time and nothing that they could do"

Awesome experience. Went up there with a group of guys for a bachelor party and they made it a great time! From the payment to the shuttles to making sure that golf was taken care of, we didnt have to worry about a thing. We are already planning another trip up there next summer for a guys trip!! (Food was good and drink prices were amazing!!)

I was very pleasantly surprised by The Turf Motel. I stayed in the newly renovated portion and the rooms were just as nice as the Hampton Inn/Holiday Inn Express. It offered a great value as well, I saved roughly $100 off the price of the hotels listed above for a two night stay. Very conveniently located to the casino with free shuttle.

We had a steak dinner here a few years ago! Excellent service, excellent food, and also we know the owners, they were not there at the time! But, their staff was on top of things...my steak was not cooked right sent it back and all my food came back hot and my steak was perfect! ***Overall *** Excellent!

My grandparents stay at the Turf Motel every year they come up and vist; never once have they complained. The rooms are clean, fresh, and adequately sized and the bathrooms accessible to those of olet age. I would recommend anyone to stay at the Turf Motel, its been there that long for a reason ;)

My husband and I came to this restaurant after driving around Charlestown. We ordered 8oz. steak dinners. The steaks were one of the best steaks weve ever had. The resyof the meal was great also. We even ordered two steaks to go. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
