The food was so-so. We got the dry aged steak, foie gras (no pate), and crab cakes. The foie gras and the crab were ok, but the steak was disappointing. I am not sure if it was the red wine sauce that they put on it, but the texture and flavor for a decent dry aged steak were not there. At least, thinking that the price was comparable to a Mortons steak.... This was certainly no prime beef! I think that if you want beef the Kobe hamburger look a much better option for this place. I was hopping this people could do something else than good duck. However the big trouble was the service: We had reservation for two Sat at 7 that was about 30% full, and got seated immediately. We got the foie gras and drinks quick, but it took over an hour, like 80 minutes, to get our food, the reason told is that they were busy. Well at 8:10 they were 100% full, but for the first half an hour we were there I doubt they hit 50%. Also there were no special apologies, and when we finished the guy just came straight with the check, he didnt ask if we wanted deserts or coffee. He may have though we were in a hurry since we were asking for our food an hour after ordering? But coming with the check like that was definitively impolite for a place like this, and we expressed this on the check and tip. Other minor issues: Wine was over priced. The tables were small for two, especially when using huge plates with small content. Somehow, it looks like some “artistic” chefs think they are painters, but get over it, you are not! Other than that, the restaurant decoration is nice, and is located in a beautiful easy to park commercial area in the heart of the “Ghetto”

Granted, posh and happening atmosphere, but I received a teeny hearts of palm salad compared to a much larger caesar that went to my friends, I couldnt believe my eyes. A chef hair in the teeny salad, cold rice served with two tiny pieces of cold sable (all was supposed to be hot). Chef Ramsey would have pounded his hand on it and exclaimed, "Get out of my kitchen." Service also cold as no one asked me how the meal was. Flavors of whatever was on the plate did not mix well and cheesecake was horrible. Cannot believe the price fixe arranged that did not even include a soda or coffee. If you want to need to eat after your very expensive meal, go here. Most ridiculous meal Ive ever had in Great Neck, Tel Aviv on the other hand is great. If you want great food with great service, go to Elaines bistro and I do not work for them.

We went with friends who live locally and they ordered the tasting menu. It was an extraordinary experience. It was fresh appetizer after salad. Each one better than the last. Cauliflower dish with pomegranate was a highlight. So was the kale and mint salad with feta. We skipped the main courses (too full!) but couldnt say no to dessert. There was a very unusual halva dessert that was very popular. And the blondie with ice cream was perfect as well. An outstanding meal with warm staff. Highly recommended.

Lola is a beautiful, chic and clean restauarant, but there is much that needs improvement. The food was decent, but not great and my dish was overcooked... despite that I asked for it medium rare. The portions were also on the small side. The wait time from appetizer to main dish was considerably long too. It was nice for one visit, but for all considered, they could do much much better and none of us see a need to go back.

I went there with my family, one of whom had very specific dietary needs, and the staff went so far out of their way to kindly accommodate all of those needs. (with the owner/chef taking the time to discuss everything with us). The food was outstanding and creative. Not one item served was not delicious. I sincerely appreciated this restaurants effort and food. I will be returning.

I had an 8:30 reservation and was seated at 9:10. The hostess was unprofessional and rude. I had to point out that a table had become available because she had forgotten us at the bar. Our waitress was MIA. We did not eat until 10 p.m. The food was decent but the service, the poor attitudes, and the inexplicable wait made the experience here an utter disaster. Would NEVER return.

I ate at Lolas for the first time, this past Saturday evening. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. We were a large group and had the good fortune to try many different dishes, it was all terrific and very special. I highly recommend Lolas.

This is a great restaurant. Have been going here regularly for the past year and the food is always consistently great regardless of what we order. Staff is friendly and attentive and are always happy to accommodate.

Food here is really good. We got multiple tapas like plates for our gathering and they all were delicious. The wine is great and they took no time to have us seated.
