This is a wonderful place to visit! The main feature is a beautiful Buddhist Temple where they hold regular meditation classes & retreats that are suitable for beginners as well as the more advanced. They also have extensive grounds with lots of space to just chill out and be peaceful on your own. You can go hiking on some really nice trails, or find a mellow spot in the woods to meditate and... If you want, they also offer B&B style accommodations, so you can stay for a few days if you had the inclination. Its super easy, clean & comfortable, and everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend - well worth the drive!

This is my favorite place of all time. The Buddhist Temple is breathtaking, everyone is kind, and you are surrounded by pristine nature. I recommend coming on a Sun morn (11 am) if its your first visit. Youll be treated to a practical teaching on how to apply Buddhas wisdom to the everyday world and make your life more peaceful and loving! Then feel free to enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal for $5. (Call ahead so they can make enough food.) Greatest stuff on Earth!!!

So funny to turn the bend and see...a beautiful temple! They give free tours when they can, and have a cute giftstore/bookstore, and sometimes the cafe is open (mostly Sundays I think). Even the deer are calm and friendly - one walked up and nuzzled my hand. Sunday mornings they have "Prayers for World Peace" that are open to all, you dont need to be Buddhist, they have a little teaching and a guided meditation, if you are open minded enough for that.

This place is gorgeous! A time well spent in a peaceful environment. Definitely worth the drive! At first I didnt know what to expect going to a Buddhist Temple, but when I got there, I was made to feel right at home. The Temple was so beautiful, better even than the pictures. The place has a very special and peaceful feel about it. I would most definitely recommend a visit to anyone looking for a little peace of mind.

Beautiful peaceful place. The people are all so kind. The accommodations are simple but nice and very clean. Great for the practicing buddhist or anyone of any faith looking to unwind. I stayed for a weekend retreat that was truly life changing.

I stayed for a weekend, great nature spot. Few hours of hiking trails, plus good relaxing retreat. Camping spots or rooms, either way also get meals, which were good.
