I dont think the information about them being closed is correct. I was just there a few weeks ago. If it is, I am not surprised. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. The stone walls give it a elegant look unlike any other Dominican restaurant. Being a latina myself, I loved the idea that I finally found a latin restaurant that was elegant compared to many others out there. I unfortunately, did not have a chance to taste the food. The service was so horrible I left before I could place a drink order. Upon entering the restaurant there was no one at the front to greet or seat us. My cousin and I approached the bar and were told to sit anywhere we liked. Every table available had either plates from the previous customers or needed to be wiped down because of caked on food debris. We sat down and waited 15minutes before anyone came to clean the table and waited another 5 before someone handed us menus. The person who handed us menues litterally handed them to us and walked away. After waiting another five minutes someone came to the table and asked that my cousin and I please get up and relocate to another table because they had a large party comming in and needed the table we were sitting at. Annoyed with their inconsideration and poor service we decided to leave. I was so turned off by this experience I would never go back, no matter how good their food is

After an exhausting time at Adventureland, I decided to search for some good Dominican food in the area. We landed at this restaurant and I should have gotten up after one of the waitresses had an attitude about sitting down with my children and "that wasnt her table". I sat down patiently for 10 minutes before someone came to hand us menus. I ordered the Rabo with Morro rice and Maduros. My 3 kids ate the chicken fingers with fries. After 30 minutes of waiting, the rice had no flavor, the maduros were burnt crisp (looked like they re fried leftovers) and the rabo were so tiny, I was scraping the bone to try to get all the meat off. Not one time during our meal, did the waiter come over and check in on us, gave us more water or bothered to care. The bill came out to $28.03 ... I could have gone across the street and enjoyed the meal with a pleasant atmosphere. Even if I got a free meal, Id rather give my free voucher to a less fortunate person .. thanks but NO THANKS!! Learn to go back to hospitality school and learn the basics!

This has the worst service ever... I called to asked what was in the soup called Mondongo the girl rudely said you dont know what tripe is well I dont know its beef and some other things.. I disconnected the line. My coworker called back they then placed her on hold for several minutes she then disconnected the line. Not for nothing we were told they are a good restaurant by another coworker. So we decided to give it a try again. This time not only did someone who does not speak English told my coworker she doesnt understand while taking the order. They then took 2 hours to deliver the food and provided the wrong food. Will never order from them again.. For the record.. This is the United States! English is first speaking language. Please have someone who speaks English answer your phone.

Love this place!! Food is sooooo flavorful!! Staff is extremely friendly!! Desserts are amazing!! The Tres Leches cake. The Flan. Our favorite lunch is chicken stew with plantains, yellow rice, and red beans. The plantains are amazing! SLIGHTLY crisp on the outside. Tender and sweet on the inside. Everything has sooooo much flavor!! The chicken stew. The pernil. The grilled chicken cutlets smothered in onions!! The chicken soup is even incredible - with HUGE chunks of fresh vegetables (carrots & potatoes). And the prices cannot be beat!! Try it! Youll be hooked!! :-)

Decor was probably of the best thing about this restaurant. We ordered from the $6.99, which included your choice of meat, rice, beans, and two sides. Not too bad for that price point. I dont know if its me, the beef stew was cooked nicely, but the food overall was on the bland side. I would figure Dominican style food would have more flavor. The service was slow for lunch time. Would i go back again? Maybe, maybe not. There are some better near by restaurants just a foot walk away.

Truthfully, the food here is delicious. We took ours to go bec we were bringing it to a friends. But I probably wouldnt eat-in here, the lighting is dim, and it seems dingy. But the food is delicious. The fried pork was good. The only thing that upset me is that they only filter one of the containers halfway, but they charged us for the large container. They must have fun out of the dish. I wish they had told us they were out, and just filled the rest w ride and beans or something.

This place deserves 0 stars. Everything we ordered was priced $1-$5 more on the receipt than it was on the menu. So if you are unfortunate to find youself eating in this dump, make sure you check the receipt before paying, because they will try to steal from you. Also beware of your drinks, the waiter took a used glass of water from a table and poored it into our water glasses behind the bar. He didnt think we were watching. Disgusting and disturbing! Proceed with caution...

First and foremost I must say I frequent many different Dominican Restaurants, considering Im a native of the Dominican Republic. I visited this restaurant with my family, and when arrived with a hefty appetite. We ordered a large variety of plates. The food was fresh, delicious, well proportioned, and served by an amazing hospitable waitress. Cant wait to revisit.

I would give them 5 stars but the wait is ridiculous. Especially for delivery. The food is authentic and flavorful but I really wish theyd set more realistic expectations in terms of waiting time.

The skirt steak was a foot long and about 6" wide, absolutely delicious! I am ready to go back again. Good liquor and service. Go, it is a small mom and pop biz. They would appreciate it!

Tasty food, great mofongo de pernil. They should do something with the doors in winter, it was freezing inside as the cold came through the front and back door.
