Visited with my son for the first time. My son had grilled chicken and fries. The owner was great. There was no grilled chicken kids meal but he provided one. Customer service was excellent. I wanted to try the tacos. I ordered beef, chicken, pork and steak. Liked them all. Tacos were a good sized portion. We took food home. Price isnt such a deciding factor for me, as long as the food is good. Again, we had no complaints. Owner was attentive not only to me but every customer in the restaurant. Food came out fast, fresh and hot. We were very pleased. My 4 year old enjoyed his meal and actually ate most of it. Thats a huge victory. If you have kids you would know. Overall, we were happy and will return. I would recommend this place for anyone who enjoys mexican american food. I would give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5. Fresh food and an owner who takes care of his customers goes a long way.

Been here twice. Both times were nothing to rave about. First of all its expensive for mediocre food. 2nd of all the cashiers have absolutely no idea about the food. I asked about the salad and asked if it was chopped romaine lettuce and if it was cold. He said yes. It comes out - not chopped or even romaine lettuce, and the cheese is heated and melted on top thus the lettuce was warm and soggy. My boyfriend took the salad back to the front and said I didnt like the salad can we get something else. It then costed nearly 11.00 for medicore tacos. There was 3 customers in there yet the workers are all standing around and the tables are dirty. Not a fan but its definitely better than taco Bell like some people are saying. Its fresh food but they need to work on better prices and customer service.

Good food. Nice size burrito. Had the lunch special for $8.29 ($9.01 including tax), which included a regular burrito and a small soda (free refills on the soda). Other choices exist. The cashier couldnt have been bothered to help me. The cook had to come out and take my order. At 1:20 in the afternoon, there is no lunch rush to speak of. There were 3 other tables seated, and I was the only customer in line. Overall, Im happy with the lunch. Light years ahead of the Taco Bell next door.

Do yourself a favor and go straight to Taco Bell next door. This is exactly how NOT to make Nachos. Theyre overcooked and thrown in an oven on aluminum foil so everything sticks to the plate. Although the portions are big the food is just not great. Many fountain drinks out of order. Waited a long time for 2 simple menu items. Although the cashier had the personality somewhat better than a floor tile I would call it the personality of a door knob. Skip this place.

Not a good night at Avocado. Our first time there. Cashier has the personality of a floor tile. Waited forever for our food- even though the kitchen seemed well staffed. Ordered nachos for takeout. They were almost unrecognizable. Way over cooked tried to eat some but threw most of my meal in the garbage. - big waste of money. Wont be back.

I was so looking forward to trying, went off-peak Saturday for a taco salad to go, got hardly any greens all beans little chicken, overloaded with SC n guacamole... Flavors GREAT but severely imbalanced "salad". Will give it another try though

Wow huge burrito. The John Burrito is excellent ! The marinated chicken was nice and moist and flavorful ! Diane had the Chicken Taco salad . The amount of chicken and avocado was very filling . would definitely recommend and will be back .

I usually go to the Bayport location all the time so randomly coming across this spot in Commack was awesome. The food is great and I was served pretty quickly. Will now be coming here more often.
