The owner spent many years working for some of the countrys best roasters (Intelligentsia, Gimme, Verve), and youll see that in the espresso and pour-over served here. Even better: hes made the effort to create a moderate "quick cup," if you dont have seven minutes and $5, but $2 and only two minutes. The space is absolutely the most interesting and visually appealing coffee shop in town. I wrote an article for the local paper before Tipico opened, citing some of the challenges Tipico would face: parking, off-beat location, general fancy-coffee/price issues. I am very glad to have been proven premature in my worry. (Most worry is premature, isnt it? Kind of its nature).

I really love Tipico! Its classy and simple. The owner has a very short menu of excellent food, high quality coffee and it just works extremely well. His avocado toast is absolutely delicious and all the bread comes from Bread Hive, a local bakery. Its quite beautiful, feels very European has lots of windows so the natural lighting is perfect for reading, sketching, knitting or crochet...all of which I have done here quite comfortably. I dont know what else to say, except for just GO. There is no other place like it here!

Great coffee and nice, simple breakfast/lunch items. These guys care about making good coffee, and it shows. Roasts were on point, with at least three coffees to choose from for pour over. We had the ricotta and jam on toast and the egg and cheese sandwich. Ricotta was made in house and was fantastic. Egg and cheese sandwich was simple but delicious. Sparse and minimal design, but inviting nonetheless. Well be back next time were in Buffalo.

My first visit to the one year old Tipico. The chai with their fresh coconut milk was excellent, and the toast with avocado was tasty enough that I did not feel deprived of the grilled cheese sandwich which was calling to me but not on my diet. Tipico is bright and open, with two walls of windows. It will be a lot of fun during the winter to watch the snow with a great cup of coffee. The staff was great.

Beautiful interior with big open windows, the downside is no AC. Love the row of personal tables that let you enjoy the sunlight. Staff are polite and quick, their cold brew is good although I personally wish is was bolder. The avocado toast was great though, and the prices here are in line with other independent cafes in the area.

Trendy coffee with a price that ruins the flavor. A small coffee was 4.30$. I felt like i was paying for the chance to be seen in a coffee shop. Ever get mad at a barista but it would not be worth it to say something? That somehow confronting the barista would make him cry. Thats Tipico for you. I was mugged..that my review

I used to live right down the block from Five Points and go every Sunday morning. I dont make it as often anymore, but I do love it there. So, Five Points is a laid-back community-oriented bakery with a focus on sustainability. (For example, they offer a discount to anyone who walks or rides a bike to get there.)

Good food and coffee, but its overpriced and the atmosphere is sterile. And seriously -- $5 for a coffee and pastry in celebration of their one-year anniversary? I can buy a coffee and pastry for that price at Sweetness 7 or Spot any day of the year.

Wow. Best coffee we have had this entire vacation!! They make their own coconut milk and offer that as their one vegan option. I was skeptical but now Im craving more. Both their latté and their iced coffee coconut were amazing!

Nailing the cafe vibe in the west side! The kind of place I wish had been around when I was still in college. The Avocado toast might be the worlds finest breakfast food and the pourover is consistently wonderful.

Great atmosphere. Very clean space. Friendly staff. Espresso beverages were not spectacular. Too much foam on the cappuccinos. The coffee is fairly good. Its a nice spot, but not a choice destination for drinks.

Nice! I admit Im an espresso junkie ...and Im particular. They brew a very smooth and robust espresso. Have the best handmade espresso machine - LaMarzocco. Great espresso pulls. Great job!

Delicious cold brew Coco only complaint is I watched the cashier handle cash, then start making peoples food with out washing hands, or using gloves. Thats gross. Lost a star for that

Tipico is the best of Buffalo. As a Rochester native, Tipico has been worth the hour + drive. They boast a quiet and spacious atmosphere and house-made almond milk.
