You wouldnt expect there to be such a good restaurant inside the downtown public library, but Fables has become so well known for its awesome food that during lunchtime, expect a long line! They have a daily selection of amazing homemade soups, unique sandwiches (I love the turkey with toasted brie and chipotle raspberry sauce), salads made from fresh greens (no iceburg) and various teas and coffees. They are always ridiculously friendly and the service is prompt. If you work anywhere near downtown, give this place a try for lunch! Theyre also open on Saturdays during lunchtime.

Was really surprised how good the food was for a cafe in a public library. A lot of healthy options and the people who run it are very nice and bring the food out immediately even when its busy. Awesome hidden lunch spot.
