Very confusing set up upon entering. We went for breakfast and at 11 they had a dinner buffet set up With fried foods and such. We stood around a few minutes while being Ignored before someone asked to help. We were sat and immediately asked what we wanted to order. I felt rushed and just picked something. No refills and brought our check without asking or mentioning it. After 5 or so minutes after finishing we noticed the slip on the edge of the tabel. I had to get up and ask where we pay? The lady rolled her eyes and said "uh... At the registsr" Im sorry, most off the time staff explains if theyll come back for the check or you need to come tothe register. The food was your average subpar food. White bread and plastic cheese

This is the eatery where the owners (the Edwards) abused a mentally handicapped employee for years. The other employees who work here did nothing to help. Anyone patronizing this restaurant is just a few rungs higher than the sadistic individuals that own this place along with their employees who obviously enjoyed the abuse that was meted out to Mr. Smith. I would suggest that no one step foot in this horrible place.

After reading the article in the post & courier about the owners enslaving a mentally handicapped black man for 5 years as their worker, beating him, and not paying him for 6 18 hour shift and 1 11 hour shifts a week, I would say that this place deserves to get shut down and everyone who works there should be questioned/locked up.

I ordered two cheese burgers to go, got back to work bit into one and it was like trying to eat a hockey puck. Burned the meat. This was the second time I ate there. The first time I ordered a Philly cheese and it was so salty I couldnt eat it.Horrible food, wait staff is nice.

Oh yes oh yes this is a wonderful little dinner that takes me back to the good old days of South Carolina.The owner is a great great man who really knows the business.They dont let any of them smelly street thugs in to ruin your diner.So come on down if you love the old south!

The food is amazing! I love the fried oysters. The biggest downside is that J&J has a smoking section that is only separated by air. If the smoking section was dropped, this would be an amazing classic restaurant.
