AVOID THIS PLACE... the service was never good, however, I liked the place and the owner seemed like a good guy. TODAY was the last straw, my gf and I waited patiently to get seated, the waiter completely ignored us and went on to people behind us, and the people behind us where nice enough to explain to the waiter that there are people waiting in front. Ones we finally got seated we ordered food to a person who barely can speak English or Russian but this was typical. After a short 10 min one plate was served, which I though was kind of odd since we both ordered the same thing, so I waited for her food to get served... 20 mins past and i asked the waiter to please check up on her food, he said ok and complete disregarded what I said and continued to wash tables. Another 20 mins past i asked the same persons to please !!Weve been waiting for almost an hour.. 5 mins past a women walks up to us, asking what we ordered, I explained to her how me and my gf got the same thing and she never got her food. So the new waiter said ok it will come shortly, AFTER ANOTHER 30 mins with out food I called another waiter saying this is ridiculous... his response was listen you dont want you can leave.. I never been put in such a position where the people that work there literally do not care about the customers not one bit.. I said I want to talk to the owner... in which they tried everything possible to prevent me from seeing him or talking to him.. in short I left and went to OPERA which is 3 blocks down and much better, I WILL never go back to this place again, if the owner sees this I will gladly point out the waiter... if the owner doesnt care well you lost about 7 regular customers that always go there.

One night me and my companions stopped by Mazal, a highly recognized establishment in my area. My time spent there was absolutely awful, the service was disgusting. We requested to sit outside, but we were forced to sit inside in the dark back corner of the room. After we were seated they requested we move seats after we had already settled in. The waitress was being rude and didnt even want to take our orders. Some how we submitted our orders and then we had asked the waitress her name, she very rudely replied "I forgot". (How do you forget your name, she basically told us that she has no care for her customers). Then, after waiting 45 MINUTES, we had demanded a manager walk over to us just to tell us that our orders still needed 10 minutes to arrive. The place was empty, but we didnt receive our orders because the service was terrible. The food wasnt even worth an hour of my time and the high prices we had paid for it. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know, I wouldnt even tell my worst enemy to go there.

Masal café is one of those places that are not oriented to any particular cuisine. It’s good to find an eating place in the suburbs with a modern vibe to it. I usually eat here for breakfast and I’m really impressed with the menu. The scrambled eggs with potato and chili is very delicious and the eggs cooked just right, my wife had the lightest and fluffiest omelette and I must say, I will have this tomorrow . Add a smoked salmon or few sausages and it’s all set. I like to have my coffee so a nero blend is best to complete the meal. I like the place, it’s not too noisy and the breakfast menu is pretty simple yet enticing.

Stopped by after biking to Breezy Point, and I really liked how the place was laid out. There were a lot of people in the space, but I still felt like I could go about my meal without feeling like I was in a conversation with every single person around you. After enjoying some very tasty tea, we were treated to some turkish ravioli and their stuffed baked potato that they recommend everyone try at least once (Id echo that recommendation). Both offerings were very tasty, and although the service could have been a bit faster, our server was very friendly.

Their menu is really limited for breakfast , I would like to get some baked Turkish traditional taste but all they offer was Turkish omelet or simple breakfast plate . Servers are not friendly at all .It was not a good experience at all . I ordered Turkish pide and all they did was using tortilla bread with folding it half and adding little bit of meat in there . Thanks God they have simit sarayi Manhattan and I took of my hunger in there . I dont recommend unless they give value for their customers and expand food selection

Alright so this cafe opened recently, and their main draw is authentic Turkish cuisine. The actual place is large, spacious but the one thing thatll probably irk certain people, is the fact that every corner of the place is covered by carpets...Walls, Ceilings, seats, floors...even the main entrance. The food itself, fairly priced, this is one of those "You get what you pay for places," so good not bad. If youre on the search for a real authentic Turkish food place the area is full of better options realistically.

Отличный ресторан турецкой кухни. Очень большая комната для детей. В ней есть батуты надувные, напольный футбол, игровой комплекс. Кухня на высоком уровне. Для посещения с детьми - это идеальный вариант.

The food is good but I also agree that the service is TERRIBLE! It is necessary to call over waitresses to take your order or you run the risk of being totally ignored or forgotten about. The food arrives at strange intervals; all members of your party may not get served at the same time or even within a few minutes, there can be a discrepancy of at least 15 minutes!

Masal used to be our favorite place, we loved to come here with my husband. But recently Service started to get worse and worse, at least we could come there for food, but today Ive got undercooked chicken burger, so no thank you. Also there is a problem with sanitation, I mean the place is full of flies and mosquitoes. Going to find new favorite place.

This little spot was really cute! I got a hibiscus iced tea lemonade which was good and sweet. I like that they have reusable cups for water because its less wasteful. My friend got a bagel with cream cheese and they really piled on the cream cheese! No complaints there. I wish the seating was a little more comfortable but overall we had a great time.

This place basically created their own competitors - Pera Cafe. They introduced South Brooklyn to the concept of the Kumpir, an oversized baked potato loaded with shepherds salad, cheese, sausage, and sour cream. Its still a decent place to visit but the atmosphere is somewhat dark, and particularly foreign if youre into that sort of thing.

One waiter sits customers down and the other waiter comes up and asks to get up from the sitting table when order was already completed only bc they lost count of who was waiting ahead. Rude service and screw up the order constantly. Not the best place to enjoy the evening. The only positive characteristic about this place is its location.
