Spectacular! The French Onion soup was great as was the other great appetizer we had. I had the flank steak with frites, which was also delicious and perfectly cooked. My wife had a pork chop that was literally the best ive ever tasted. Desert was a homemade chocolate cake, with homemade ice cream and the French espresso finished everything perfectly... and I didnt even mention the awesome drink list - wine, beer and liquor! Awesome. Seriously. Awesome. The best part... it was far more inexpensive than I expected. The ambiance was great too, live music, open doors and windows... it was an oasis. Definitely our favorite spot to eat in Brooklyn.

Olivier Bistro is our favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. We have been coming consistently since they opened and have always had a delightful experience. We even celebrated our engagement and hosted our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at Olivier. We have tried nearly every menu item and each one is better than the next. Although we love the fare and old-fashioners, what we really love most are the staff who know us by name and even wave to us when we pass the restaurant running errands around the neighborhood.

I really wanted to like this place, but I left feeling annoyed and hungry. My husbands food was fairly good, but my moules frites were a far cry from delicious. I didnt want to ruin the night so I pulled out the massive mussel beards myself until I got down to the last 1/3 of the pot and the entire mussel shell was full of grit. A pile of dirt. The fries were off white and limp. I should have sent it all back. We may have had an off experience, but I dont think I could get excited to try again.

Me, my husband and our friends had dinner here. It was the first time for all of us and we all enjoyed it. We had oysters, salmon tartar, crispy risotto, Brussels sprouts, hanger steak, and duck and all of it was delicious. French onion soup awesome !!! The drinks where also very good !! I would so come back here again. The waitress was so friendly and amazing. The environment was also very relaxed and welcoming.

Decent food.....authentic French waitress....couldnt seem to be bothered getting our food...one customer at bar,,maybe her bf kept her attention....no other customers but our trio...and had to remind her to get our food ...condiments.drinks etc..totally annoying.....

Cant say enough good things. Food was fabulous, tasty, well prepared and sufficient portions. The staff was really nice. Just the right amount of attention, while allowing us to feel relaxed, not rushed at all. I highly recommend and will certainly be returning.

Great small bistro! It was surprise find in South Slope. The drink were great, the food fantastic and overall experience was enjoyable. My only regret was not getting there early enough to enough the happy hour oyster and wine special.

what an authentic paris experience! french staff, delicious food and great wine. its on 4th ave, but worth the walk no matter where you are in the slope. its a must go for brunch or dinner!
