My girlfriend and I visited Washington D.C. and went to Ici Urban Bistro for her birthday dinner. When asked if we were celebrating any special occasions by our waiter after being seated, I replied that it was, in fact, her birthday. Within a minute, he had two glasses of champagne ready for the two of us (complimentary) and was wishing her the very best. The menu for this restaurant is outstanding (it is the reason I chose the venue initially). We could have ordered anything, but the waiter helped us with our decision, not being pushy or seeming misleading. Then, when choosing a wine to go with our dinner, we talked with him about the various selections, and instead of recommending one, he had us sample all three (again, complimentary) so that we could choose the best one to pair with our food. We had the crepes, the shrimp salad, the lamb, and the duck, and it was all phenomenal (and i went with a french wine by the glass that paired perfectly with the duck). When the entrees were done, we were getting ready to order dessert when the waiter again surprised us with a chocolate and strawberry mousse cake for my girlfriend with "Happy Birthday" inscribed on the plate in delicate chocolate lettering and a candle next to the cake. We were floored at how gracious the staff had been to us. We ordered a molten chocolate vahlronna cake (of course it was delicious), after receiving the birthday cake and left the restaurant on cloud nine. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful and incredibly considerate and the food was all superb. If you havent been to this place yet, go tonight.

Everything was wonderful and we thought weve found another great spot to dine... Up until the bill arrived where 2 items were priced higher then in the menu presented to us, and one of the dishes were ordered 1/2 portioned for a 1/2 price (it was waiters suggestion not ours) but billed to us in full price +$3. THE STORY: Weve already ordered 2 apps and 2 entrees and in hesitation about ordering their pasta dish because it will be too much food counting desserts. At this moment of discussion a "friendly" waiter suggests that we can order 1/2 portion for a 1/2 price and hell split it for two of us. We ask him again to make sure we understood correct: "1/2 portion for a 1/2 price?"... "Yes!" - he says - "1/2 order for a 1/2 price!" We say OK and the rest of the story you know. So we were $14 overcharged but both a waiter and a manager had a nerve to tell us it was a "misunderstanding" (in the case of pasta) and some computer problem (in the case of differences between their menu prices and the bill charges). They have 3 mishaps in one bill and refuse to recognize or correct them?!.. Very unprofessional and shameful to use these kind of tricks to pull few more $$ from the pockets of patrons. Yes, we did like our experience up until this "moment of truth" but In spite of it well never give them our business and feel like we ought to worn the public about their practices.

We are staying at the hotel, so we decided to have our Easter Breakfast here. Well...we shouldnt have. Most of the waiters are unfriendly. I wanted to have a freshly squeezed orange juice with my breakfast, they brought a very yellow "Tropicana with pulp" tasting orange juice. To my question before the waiter gave me the juice, if it was freshly squeezed, he said yes. Just for the record the Tropicana juice costs 5 USD at the ICI Urban Bistro. I asked the waiter to exchange the pain au chocolat for another bread. Well my plate arrived with pain au chocolat. Which they changed after I told the waiter that I had asked for an change at the beginning. When the check arrived we realized that there was already a charge for service: 18% ... For that bad and unfriendly service???? The people at the table next to us returned their food, because it was not what they have ordered. The restaurant wasnt full, so that cant be the excuse...

Wow. Our meal began with chicken stuffed crepes served with a delectable creamy sauce that coated your tongue. We also tried the beet salad, and while I typically despise beats this salad surprised. With a great sauce this cool salad tasted fresh and clean. For the main course my wife and I shared the duck breast with ratatouille and the veal chop with risotto. The duck had a beautifully crisp skin with just the right amount of salt and fat to make it succulent and moist while the veal was served on the bone and was tender the way veal was intended. The service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly and helpful and even the manager was clearing plates. Teamwork at its finest. We cant wait to return.

Had Easter Brunch here yesterday. Menu was excellent. I chose the bet salad which was good and the Amish chicken which had a great presentation but after having four bites I found a clump of greens that was still connected to the dirt it was grown in. Since the waiter never came back to check with us on I had to take the food to find him. The manager asked what was wrong and I told him. He was apologetic and took the cost of the meal off. Waiter was aloof, wore a dirty vest and inattentstive.

Had breakfast here every day while staying at the Sofitel. The staff is extremely friendly. When you sit down, they bring over a big plate of pastries (i.e. a variety of croissants) which is more than enough let alone ordering a entree as well. I like the space as well. I havent eatten there other than for breakfast but want to!

This was my first time coming to this restaurant. It was wonderful. I will definitely return soon. The service was great. The staff was very attentive. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was so relaxing. I could have stayed all evening. If you order appetizers please get the crepes! You will fall in love.

Food poisoning was what I got after eating at Ici on March 27. I ordered two appetizers: three asparagus stalks wrapped in prosciutto (overpriced at $15) and grilled tuna which I believe was the culprit. It caused serious gastric distress that lasted all of March 28.

Excellent tutors and materials. The instructor is very well engaged with student and passionate about what she does. I recommend this school to whom needs to learn Farsi or need a Persian translator. Good luck
