Decent food, horrible service. A day excursion to Coney Island for me and 5 of my friends led us to Footprints for dining. They placed two tables together in the center of the restaurant to accommodate us, which was a disaster. The tables were off balance not sure if the floor was unleveled or if the tables were different heights causing the table too continuously Rock. We were visiting around 2pm on a Saturday, I was ask several times to pull my chair in to allow a "raw food delivery " from a grocery vendor, which to my surprise was delivered mid day on a Saturday through the main entrance of the restaurant. This made me wonder if they had a back exit seems like the proper way to handle a delivery during peak time. Also upon going to the ladies room I noticed they had additional seating upstairs, where approx 6-8 ppl were seating along with the manager. Not sure why they wouldnt seat us there in a more comfortable setting. The restaurant wasnt packed so we couldnt understand why our food took well over 45 minutes to arrive to our table. One of my friends didnt receive her meal until we were halfway done and when she inquired about her cod fish appetizer the waitress responded "they didnt drop yet". After ordering my dish the waitress came back about 5 minutes later to notify me they were out of tofu. I was disappointed but really didnt see anything else so I decided to stick with the dish ordered minus the tofu and she assured me the price would be adjusted. The entire time we sat at the table the waitress nor management checked on us we ask the busboy for water the only person noticeably working and I guess he forgot he never returned with water we waited for condiments, the check you name it. The service was lousy. I really wanted to give this place a chance but when we decided to discuss our concerns with management his approach was brutal and offensive. He had a retaliating demeanor and basically said although food was delivered slow we came at a very busy time and we did eventually get our food. The nerve of him. He also called out the waitress in front of us in the middle of the restaurant looking for someone to take the blame!!! Btw remember the price adjustment for my tofu dish, well it was given to me I think $3 off however when I reminded the waitress I received the most attitude. I was so ready to get out of this place along with the bad energy I was experiencing. By the way we had no problem with the 17% gratuity added to parties of 4 or more however we expected better service or at least to be treated with respect. They also have hidden charges. 3 of us ordered the same meals to go as we placed our dining in order, well after viewing the receipt dining meals had an increase of approx $5. Why ???Ive never heard of or seen this before. I normally check reviews prior to dining and I must say the negative feedback they receive is quite accurate. I will never return to this establishment ever again I hope they take time out and read their reviews and work on ways to improve. It sucks because the food was tasty but doesnt make up for poor service.

So its always good when you can find a Caribbean restaurant that makes you feel at home. It being my last few nights my sis decided to take me here boasting of how the food is so good etc. We got there, waited to be seated. The waitress came greeted us and placed our menus on the table then left. We perused through the menu trying to decide what we will have. Ms. Waitress came back asked if were ready and took our orders. Omg! Things went downhill from here after. I swear the food came from another state. It was the longest Ive ever waited to get food. To add insult the injury the waitress never even came to ask us how we were going or to even assure us that our meals would be coming. The food was finally delivered. Oh I forgot we ordered drinks...Ginger beer which tasted spoiled, irish moss which tatsed like like just milk, dont know where the moss was. The food was just ok. The jerk chicken and shrimp I ordered, I swore they dipped it in scorpion pepper..ive eaten jerk and it was not as spicy as this one. The service was HORRIBLE! From not seeing the "waitress", from asking another waitor while he is on his phone for napkins. I honestly felt as if we were being ignored. This is not the kind of service u need in your establishment Mr. Manager. Do better..

On the wait time and attitude, ehhh... being a Jamaican that enters a lot of Jamaican restaurants this is expected. Its pretty awful that this is known and is accepted and still supported. Some Jamaicans, not all, are oblivious when it comes to customer service. The attitude is: "You need dem anuh dem need you" we need to change that attitude. This is the fastest way to closed doors. In any case, my biggest issue with Coney island location is the food. Being that Im a foodie, blogs about it, travel to find it, in the business. I can honestly say on a few occasions, at this location the food isnt handled with love. Clean those meats guys. Oxtail and Goat needs to be trimmed of fat. Second Jamaican restaurant Ive gone to that doesnt trim fats off meats. That is disgusting! When I put a piece of meat in my mouth I dont want to move around the slithery slime that is unacceptable and gross. Only constructive criticism. More time needs to go into preparation or have your butchers do this before delivery. Dont get me started on delivery. With uber eats theyve gotten better.

Went there after a day at Coney Island with my family. Arrived around 11:40 pm with 5 adults and 5 children. Although the place was rather barren. We were told we could not enter due to a dress code policy that ended at 9pm. After deciding wed just order out, a family member used the restroom while waiting on take out. As he came back out to the waiting area, he claimed there were several patrons dining in wearing the same attire we were. The woman in the front went in to check it out and came back, nodded to her co-worker and said, "yea". Nothing was done. As we were told they were family. So I guess the rules dont apply to them. At the risk of getting my food spat in, we cancelled our order and decided we could spend our money elsewhere. One of the security guards encouraged us to write as he said a lot of things happen there that are not right and he hopes people will speak up about it. Very unprofessional establishment and I will never return. Im sure with the way they treat customers they wont be in business much longer.

Food Delicious. My service Horrible. The hostess and my waitress had very bad attitudes. I like to believe that they just dont know any better and are going through the stresses life may bring. My friend and I went to Footprints in Cony Island Saturday August 13,2016 at 5pm. I kindly asked the hostess to put me in a booth. With an attitude she told me "no there only allowed for a party of 4 or 5." I sat at the table she put me in which was very close to other the people dinning there. My neighbor knocked my drink all over me. I was embarrassed. I was sticky. I was drenched and I reeked of alcohol. My waitress DID NOT HELP to relocate my friend and I. I was extremely uncomfortable. Luckily the lady who accidentally knocked my drink over, offered to pay for it. My waitress tried to charge me for another drink.Smh. My food on the other hand was delicious. Perhaps Customer Service training for all employees. Footprints would then be a better place to dine with costumer service training.
