This place disappointed me at first, then it seemed to have greatly improved. I had breakfast there this morning, and it was an awful experience. 1. The coffee cups were dirty, with food crusted on the outside. 2. The undercooked, cold toast was delivered a full fifteen minutes prior to the rest of the meal. 3. When the food arrived, the grits that my partner ordered were slopped all over the entire order. 4. My scrambled eggs arrived raw. 5. When the revised eggs arrived, they were overdone (browned) with a piece of shell and bits of bacon stuck to the top (as a vegetarian, this was pretty upsetting.) 6. One of the butter packets had been opened. 7. One of the busboys was kind enough to lower the window shade behind us, as it was hot and sunny. The manager came by and raised it. When I informed him I had asked it be lowered, he condescended to lower it part way. No one ever apologized for the mistakes, nor asked if we had enjoyed our meal. A bad way to start the day.

Great Sunday Brunch! This place is almost a weekly regular for us! I take my kids here for breakfast on Sundays after church. They are sometimes cranky after going to church and sitting through a boring sermon, but the big breakfasts and variety of options cheers them up instantly! Its become a great family tradition that Ive grown to enjoy. My daughter almost always gets pancakes with chocolate milk because the servers make comments about how cute the order is. My son goes for "manly" breakfasts with all the trimmings - eggs, potatoes, toast, and meat. I particularly like how they have such a great assortment of simple food for the kids that I know they will esy and also have some more sophisticated options for adults to spice up the flavor and experience. As a parent it can get really boring eating "kid food" all the time, so its nice to get some beefed up omlettes and delicious specials.

When I first walked in I couldnt believe how laid back and friendly the staff was to me and my fiancé. I was starving and the cheese burger was absolutely perfect in satisfying everything i was looking for. My fiancé ordered the same thing and we don’t usually do this, but we had to compliment the chef. the food was prepared just how we ordered it and it took no time at all! the staff were really really friendly and they made it such a good experience. i am definitely going back because now me and my fiancé are hooked on their cheese burgers. the best part is how low the prices are and how the staff was. i cannot recommend this place enough - it is full of great people, amazing prices, and the most delicious food. If I cant convince you how great it is- their cheeseburgers will!

Stopped in for breakfast here after attending a friends wedding the night before. Walked into the diner and found it to be clean, filled with sunlight, and with friendly service. (Btw, the bathrooms were also spotless...a good sign). I ordered the California omelette made with egg whites and substituted the cheddar for mozzarella instead. It was delicious and chock full of fresh ingredients... no canned mushrooms at this place and the avocado was bright and perfectly ripe. My husband had the gyro and 2 eggs and it was some of the best gyro meat we have ever had!! Exceptional. If we ever find ourselves up this way again we will come for a Greek lunch or dinner!

My friend and I have been going for basically all our meals here for quite a long time. I personally love Four Star diner for their reasonably priced food and great service. I especially look forward to the delicious lunch specials. The salad bar is probably their top most specialty, with fresh marinated veggies you can never go wrong with it. The staff is very friendly and offer fairly quick services. You get great foods to pick from their menu. You don’t have to worry about parking space as they have ample parking just outside the diner. You cannot go wrong with Four Star Diner.

I had seen this place for years, but never decided to go inside until yesterday. It was kind of late (for Jersey standards), so not many places were open. There were only 2 other tables occupied, so it felt a little awkward. I must say, it was a surprisingly good experience. Our server (Leslie) was amazing, very friendly and fast. Very good drinks (margaritas) and food (guac and pico de gallo, chicken quesadillas and yankee pot roast). The menu is very extensive. Definitely a good option.

The old staff was better. The man upfront is rude and gives attitude. I felt disrespected and when I asked a question he did not want to answer and assumed I wanted my money back. The service was slow, the waitress was giving me and my friends bad looks. The food is a 5/10 but before was a 9/10. Please, if you are really gonna go dine here, check your receipts. They tried ripping us off by adding more things to our bill. I am so disappointed, what happened to the original Four Star?

The outside does have its appeal, and the inside keeps up the pretense but the prices are sincerely a rip-off for the quality AND quantity of the food. DONT ORDER A DRINK BEFORE YOUR FOOD, ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST. I ordered an orange juice and was given a barely 12-ounce cup, and charged for it along with my breakfast (which includes a drink) because apparently it was a "large cup". Whats the small cup included in the breakfast then- 4 oz? What a disappointment, honestly.

I love Four Star Diner in Union City NJ My friend and I have been going a lot to four star. We are hooked! hahaha Price is great and service too. I especially look forward to the lunch specials. Service was great! I thought maybe because it was busy service would be lackluster but it wasnt. Not only was I greeted at the door but as I passed every waitress too. Food was great, quick, hot and exactly how I ordered it. Oh yeah, if you like strong coffee this is definitely the place! Coffee was amazing! I had the Belgian waffle with eggs and sausage. My husband had corn beef omelet with fries. Everything was great! We will be back!

I went to a 4 star diner with my parents, was really awesome. We ordered the ravioli and some egg plants. They served the food well on time and we had a great time together. I was wondering what we should order for the desserts, i was told by the manager that we have rice pudding as our special desserts. the waitress are mean and they have a big attitude, they gave my husband an attitude when he just wanted to change his order from home fries to fries and she mad a big deal about it! You are there to serve people and give them a good experience at this diner... if you dont like your job then quit cause there no reason to make people feel so uncomfortable that they cant even enjoy their meal!
