I enjoyed the White Manna in Hackensack the one time I went, so I visit this location (not related) as well when I was in Jersey City. Basically, its a cute little diner off a very dreary section of route 1-9. The counter staff were very friendly,with one elderly gentleman deliberating irking then the whole time which was amusing. I ordered my food quick, and they made it all fresh to order. I got the special with 3 burgers, a large order of fries, and a drink. The burgers are larger than what Id consider a slider and veery thin. The patties are tasty with a good beefy flavor. They actually couldve used more onions, or the onions could be put on top of the cheese instead o rmixed in with everything so that they stand out better. What almost ruins these burgers are that the buns are too big. For every bite of burger, you end of getting much more bun. I ended up ripping some of the bun off just to get it out of the way. Other than the burgers being a little well done for my taste, this is why White Mana falls short of the White Manna in Hackensack, If youre nearby its still worth stopping by.

Been a loyal customer for the past 2 years spending atleast $50 a week. I called to place an order on a Saturday night they told me I cant call to place an order over the phone. Then why do you have a phone? Whatever fair enough didnt complain. I go in to place my order and ask for 4 cheese burgers no onions and they told me they cant make no onions on Saturday night which I know isnt true because I order every Saturday night! Just a grumpy cook who doesnt want to "work". Anyways yea so I spend $50 a week plus tip for those ungrateful employees and they couldnt make me 4 cheese burgers no onions. Great burgers horrible customer service and I wont be going agian suggest you dont either if you like good customer service. Next time Ill be sure to try Hackensack white mana!

This is the original Fast Food Hamburger place that has occupied the same corner of Tonnelle Avenue since the early 1900s. During times of hardship, this place was a God-send for the hungry with scarce resources. They could get a small burger on a bun (now called Sliders) for pennies on a dollar, thus White Mana food from Heaven. Though their menu has greatly expanded, everything is at a very fair price. Try their Chicken Wings and of course their super-popular French Fries. Nothing fancy here, just old-time good eats with some updates.

White Mana is an old school burger joint along Route 1 & 9 highway northbound in Jersey City. Its super retro with everything outside and in practically original from the past 50 years. The sliders here are really good. Theres a special where you get 3 sliders, fries (cheese is extra) and a medium drink for $6.50 that will definitely satisfy your hunger. Dont forget to ask for extra pickles. Its a no frills place, seats up at the kitchen counter or in the back booths. Be wary of the restroom, sometimes the light doesnt work.

Simplicity is key to a great success sometimes! I heard about the legend since middle school on how this place was the originators to what White Castle was trying to be lol and I must say you know whos the real deal. 14 years later I took a random ride with my friend Jay for dinner and I ended up with 4 double cheeseburgers and side of fries that satisfied us with every bite. Definitely recommend.

Good sliders, dont expect 8oz burger your going to get juicy slider with onions and cheese. You have to eat them there, not very good when they get cold. Also the stack and cheese sandwich is good to eat. The meet is not dried out has flavor condiments are not needed. Lost a start because there onion rings were nothing special regular frozen onion rings you can find every where.

Open 24 hours, this uniquely designed building on a busy corner in New Jersey serves up sliders of all types. We went with the $7 special with 3 sliders, fries, and a drink. Famous patrons include Mike Tyson...which by coincidence you can also see where he keeps his pigeons a couple houses down from restaurant.

I use to come here with my Dad, who was a truck driver... over 40 years ago so I was amazed when I drove by and saw it was still there! Funny thing is that it looks exactly the same as 40 years ago... I do remember the burgers were much better back then but they are still better than White Castle

Just doesnt compare to the one in Hackensack. Went here and was disappointed. They use white bread (instead of potato) and they chop their onions and mix them in with the beef (instead of slicing and grilling in top). Bun was too big for the tiny patty as well. Not returning here.

The real "white castle." Simple greasy old school food. Just get bacon cheese sliders and some Disco fries. Honestly not the best burgers but this is about nostalgia and internal satisfaction. Also, they are open late and perfect after a night of drinking. Take Uber!

Historic landmark in jersey city with history from the worlds fair.....its a little dive place but the sliders are epic...I always have waffle fries and two bacon double cheeseburgers...great way to clog the arteries but this is so worth it.

Awesome and cheap. Fresh made cheseburger for $3. Very fresh and good. cant beat that. Mans man joint frequented by truckers, construction, and very surprising wall street guys. Very impressed. Much better value than five guys.

It is what it is. Place is old, kind of run down and cold. Staff is friendly and fast. They are best known for their sliders which arent too bad but they are the greases little burger you will probably ever eat. Drunk food at its finest

Place has been around for a long time. Has a parking lot so you dont have to worry about parking. Burgers are nice and hot and its nothing like White Castles, burgers are hot and fresh, and on a hot day nothing beats a milk shake

Just go for the burgers not the ambiance! 24 hour burger spot with a legacy of making great burgers for EVER! They may even add bacon on ur burgers if u didnt ask! Keep an eye on the grill!
