Vega is a restaurant my wife and I enjoyed dining at. We had ordered for delivery and hadnt had any problems, until tonight. After placing an order online and receiving a confirmation with a delivery estimate of 35 mins. we found ourselves calling after an hour. After being placed on hold and then speaking to several people we were told the order would be delivered in less than ten mins. After ten mins the driver called to say he would be here in ten mins. We gave him very specific instructions about our house being the fourth on the right hand side of the street as the house numbers are not sequential. After 20 mins we began calling again and were passed over to different individuals none of whom seemed to know what was going on. The driver called to say he was in front of the house which I was sure was incorrect as he wasnt at our house. When he arrived he insisted he was in front of the right house despite being in front of the wrong house. We are pretty sure we know where we live. When my wife disputed his claim the driver smirked and said "the customer is always right, right"? I called the restaurant again and spoke to yet another person after identifying myself who proceeded to talk over me and then tried to tell me that we shouldnt order through the internet because the order was delayed. That was strange as it was their website and their confirmation. While he continued to talk over me to tell me what we needed to do in the future I advised him it wasnt necessary as there would be no future orders. I informed him we were returning the order and I wanted the card credited. While still trying to talk over me, without an apology I might add, I asked again to have the card credited he told me "I dont need your money". Needless to say Vega will never get anymore of our money as service is clearly not of interest to them. The food was only ok but the service was horrible.

I lived and worked on Hartsdale Avenue for 2+ years and had nothing but terrible experiences at Vega. If it wasnt so convenient I would have never gone back, but I kept giving them chances. My main issue is the lack of consistency in the food portions - The burrito was sometimes large and tiny others. One time we ordered two large portions of guacamole for the office (along with five entrees, a $100+ order) and they brought us one tiny bag of tortilla chips to accompany it. When we called back they said we didnt ask for extra chips. Really? And dont try to call in a lunch order at 3:30, they will tell you they already switched their computers over to dinner despite their advertised 4pm cutoff. Of course, they will happily serve you if you pay the dinner price... Side Note: Three of the reviews listed here are from employees of Vega. "J Paul" is the manager and the double review from "James Joy" is the assistant manager.

The place is decorated beautifully, the music is nice. We were treated well and everyone there was responsive. I liked the guacamole but have definitely had better, I ordered a pretty expensive skirt steak - which is cheap- and I am not a cheap person, but paid the same amount for a tuna dinner in a more expensive restaurant a few weeks ago...just to compare. However, if the steak was stellar, who cares how much it costs- the steak at Delfriscos is to die for and I could care less how much it is...but this was dry and over cooked, with sauce that was pretty tasteless. They forgot one order completely (out of 8 people) and I sat and waited until hers was made. Everyone liked their food- not loved- but it was ok. I would go again if a group went but not a top of my list place.

Vega Mexican Cuisine is a beautiful, delicate, elegance, magnificent, and exquisite restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is amazing to say the least, professional, attentive and all with a smile. The interior is adorable, clean, and lovely. The chips and Mexican sauce are awesome. The food is really top rate and the price is right for the quality. Perfect portions, presentation, and flavor to make each single bite delectable of taste in your mouth. The bartender, Manny, is friendly, always smiling and prepares awesome drinks. Highly recommended.

I have had two nice dinners here. I love the interior design, but the outside, I have to admit looks more like a nail salon than a Mexican restaurant. Nice feeling here, the staff is nice, the food is good, the drinks are quick. I will only order Patron tequila in my drinks now because of this place. Parking is hard in Hartsdale in general, but if you are patient, someone at a meter is always leaving. If parking was better I would come here more often.

This is a little piece of heaven the drinks are on point. 2 drinks will have you lit . As you can see the churrasco is delicious. I love this place because not only is it close to home but I never had a problem with parking. It does get crowed on the weekend but your never waiting to get seated. Kid friendly and everyone that works here are very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of what they serve.

We went there Friday night for dinner. The staff was polite and attentive. The food was all well prepared and tasted great. The freshly made guacamole had just enough kick to it. We asked for medium spice. We really wanted to try the dessert but we were too full. We look forward to going back again. This was not our first visit. Both the food and service have been consistently great.

Very nice spot. Been wanting to go here for a while and had the chance to go with a group of people for a friends birthday party. Gets very packed on weekends til about 9/10pm so reservations are in order if you wanna go around those nights. Food was very well prepared and mixed drinks were interesting and well made.

Served a "classic bean and rice burrito" that I sent back because it was a giant flour tortilla filled with rice.What is that??? The farmers market quesadilla was fine. Nice and efficient service, clean. Trying too hard not to be too Mexican. Made me miss Taco Jacks. Marguerita was great. Would hesitate to go again.

When i moved up here I was hoping this would be a good Mexican restaurant. The worst I have had and horrible service. Wish a real Mexican restaurant would move in there. And being from the southwest I know good Mexican food, and this place does not have it. Please give me a real Mexican restaurant other than Vega!!

Being a fan of Mexican cuisine, I was longing to visit this place for quite sometime. I finally went there for lunch last week and ate vegetable quesadillas and guacamole. It was amazing. They offer a good portion so it was quite filling. The service was pretty fast and the staff was quite warm and welcoming...

Enjoyed fresh, authentic Mexican cuisines at VEGA Mexican. I liked their service and food. Kids also had great time eating fingers. Sides were so good that we packed two for home. The restaurant was more than what we have heard about it. Had a wow experience, and can’t wait to return for a family dinner.
