I decided to take my sister-in-law, and family out for her birthday. Labor Day 2015. A party of 4. Opted for the upstairs deck. After being seated, and a wait of almost 5 minutes, we had to wave for a waiter. It wasnt even busy. SMH !!! We had to send back 2 of the 4 drink orders. The Mudslides tasted liked iced milk. No Kahlua !!!! The appetizers were okay, but the entrees were horrible. Crusted tilipia was soft, like oatmeal. On a bed of hard rice. 2 medium steaks that were dry. Not overcooked, just dry !!!! One charred hamburger. We had to ask for utensils. We had to ask for salt/pepper/ketchup/steak sauce, etc. Nothing offered !!!! The steaks were missing the aioli sauce. We didnt sit there and complain, or send the food back. As Ive heard stories about how food is prepared for complaining customers. We paid our $205+ bill, and left a $25 tip. Even the bill wasnt presented in a check folder. I was just handed a receipt. Worried about the cash blowing away, I had to go track the waiter down, to pay the tab. After wrestling with myself, as if we should leave a tip. Which we did. $25. He just took the cash. Didnt ask if the meal was okay, and didnt even say thank you !!!! Wait staff sucked, Bartender sucked. Cook sucked!!!! We made a pit stop in the Bathrooms. They looked like they hadnt been cleaned all weekend !!!!! I d hate to see what the kitchens look like !!!!!

Shipwreck of a dinner. I dont know where to begin. When we first walked in we asked if we could sit at the bar, but the waitress said the bar was closed but we could sit at a table. I ordered unsweet tea, but the tea had a very strange taste too it. At first I thought maybe it was some soap residue left on the glass, but after another sip I thought maybe it was something like a raspberry tea, so when the waitress came back I asked her what kind of tea it was and she said it was just regular tea, so I said just bring me water. I ordered the fish and chips and that was a mistake. The breading was slightly burnt but the fish wasnt done very well on the inside. They gave me a pile of French fries which were OK, but even the ketchup was old and thick. The guy I was eating with also ordered the fish and chips which came with a small cup of cole slaw. Neither of us could muster up the courage to try that stuff. Just didnt look right. As I was being disappointed with my food I thought well at least the place is nicely decorated. They had a huge aquarium, so I walked over to take a look at this huge aquarium with NO FISH IN IT!!! And hanging on the wall was the ugliest mermaid this bloke had ever laid eyes on. If you are thinking about eating here do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Stopped in thinking the place looked like a nice restaurant. We felt uncomfortable from the start. A large group of staff was standing at the wait station looking around with seemingly nothing to do. Once we sat we couldnt find anyone to help us for 10 minutes. We finally called over a busboy to ask if he knew who our waiter was. After another 5 minutes our server arrived and we gave our drink and dinner order. We waited 10 more minutes with nothing. Our appetizer was served and still no drink. Another 2 minutes passed before the waiter walked by to mention the drinks were coming. Another few minutes later the manager walked past with our drinks looking for the table to serve. As he approaches the table next to us, I call him over to point out they were our drinks. We also asked for the waters we ordered and he replied "theyre coming", as if we were impatient. We were then disappointed with our entrees. We both work in the industry and have never been so dissatisfied, mostly due to the managers inability to recognize and then rectify a patrons poor dining experience. We would never leave less than a 15% tip due to principal, but this is the first time we contemplated it.

ok where do i start? 1. our table was wobbly so over the course of 30 minutes i asked 3 waiters to fix it 2. everytime someone left, the door slammed like a gun shot causing everyone to jump Finally i asked the manager to solve the problem which he did, but was that noise necessary to begin with? 3. speaking of noise, this is a very NOISY loud restaurant and after awhile they turned the music on making it impossible to have a conversation 4. our waiter John, a very young and poorly trained waiter (not his fault, but the fault of lousy management) brought out the entees 5 minutes after bringing out the salads so we sent the entrees back 5. we were 4 people. 2 of us complained the main item on the dish was hot, but the veggies were cold On the good side- the food tasted vary good, but that doesnt make up for a very poor overall dining experience. Will not return until the owner makes changes.

I have been here numerous times over the last 20 years. I have been away the last 5 years and now that I am back I decided to take my family here. This was terrible. The food was disgusting I could not even eat my dish. I got a simple chicken sandwich dish and it was awful. My husband got fish and chips - it was so greasy and bland. The service was beyond slow, and the ambiance was better when it was full of bikers. Now they loudly played pop music which made it hard to have a conversation at the table. It was a weekday, it wasnt at all busy. And they had plenty of staff who looked like they had nothing to do. Our waiter finally brought the food and then kept coming over to try and clear plates-which still had food on them. It was the worst. I will never go here again.

Has gone downhill. Ordered a couple of specialty drinks that were supposed to have flashing ice cubes. The bartender then served a couple of girls that came in and gave them the flashing cubes. He overheard me say something about it to my son and then brought over a couple. And didnt put any in the next round,. Didnt discount our price for lack of them, but only charged us for 4 of 5 drinks.. Food was okay. I recommend the truffle fries. Has several aquariums that used to have a big green moray eel and several large fish. Now empty. Has an outdoor tiki bar that is occasionally open.

Im out. There every summer at the Tides. Some waiters reallly care. The mgr. is awesome. The Coctails r awesome & r straight out of Park. slope Brooklyn. & Bay Ridge. Great vibe. The steaks were tender but. Service. Out if the kitchen. Could b better. & never bread. The shrimps were succculent hot & fresh the Burgers & Fries served in a. Metal can with. Handle add to the ships. Vibe appeal. Ill b there next. sun the 13th. I feel like Im seeing old relatives Labor Day. Is set. With. Some friends too Indoor & outdoor. Class act. ty shipwrecked. ✌️✌️
