Ive been patronizing the Villiager in Downtown Kent for several years now. A great place for a quick bite while motorcycling through the Litchfield Hills. The Sidewalk café offers umbrella sourced shade, a cool breeze and a great vantage point to keep an eye on your pride-and-joy. Prices are very reasonable and although they do not have a liquor permit, they do encourage picking up a bottle at Kent Wine and Liquor literally right next door and enjoying that with your meal. They have terrific sandwiches including an awesome Ruben and a variety of Clubs, great burgers as well as a variety of fresh salads. The lunch specials are always delicious and often include refreshing treats such a beet based salad. No seafood except for the tuna in their Club sandwich. Fast and friendly service, reasonable prices, and a great people (or pride & joy) watching spot. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing. Sat waiting for long time while waitress took care of others who came in after me. Finally after asking for service, cashier came over to take my order with an attitude. Food arrived fast but my breakfast sandwich had bacon on one half and NONE on the other half. New way to save money? Never asked if I wanted refill on coffee while I again watched others get it. The Villager does not give you your check. You go up to register and are told what you owe; no way to check if errors occur which I am sure do happen. I bet they are never in the customers favor......

This restaurant offers an excellent choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff and atmosphere is pleasant, the food always fantastic as well as affordable. Whenever I have any client meetings in Kent, CT in the morning this is the place where we go for a breakfast. My favorite breakfast is Eggs Benedict. The only night when the restaurant is open for dinner is on Tuesdays. Most of the dinner menu items are a traditional Mexican food - it is a great to have this option in Kent, as the nearest Mexican restaurant or a place that serves any Mexican food is 15 miles away.

Our family loves the Villager restaurant. The choice of places open for breakfast or brunch is quite limited in Kent. Once they started to deliver food within Kent, we order a lunch couple times a week from there too! The outdoor seating is great for enjoying the atmosphere of this small town while eating a very nice meal. My the most favorite meals are the Farmers Breakfast and Eggs Benedict.

Quaint little place we went for breakfast. Excellent food and prompt, courteous service. We had the Corned Beef and Cheddar Omelette, 2 Egg Special, Breakfast Burrito and Blueberry Pancakes. All were delicious! Highly recommended if youre in this area and hungry. Excellent portions and the homefries were wonderful! Outdoor seating is available.

Honestly I dont know why people think this is a Mexican restaurant. It may have Mexican dishes, but this place screams "diner" to me. And it was a really good diner. The fries were terrific as well as the sandwich I ordered. Service was fast and attentive. It was a little pricey, but this is Kent, so what do you expect?

Small establishment in Kent, CT. They have Mexican Tuesdays which are to die for. High quality ingredients and nice staff. However, getting in on Tuesdays can be somewhat difficult. Their breakfast is amazing and always rather fast. Overall if you are in Kent, it is a definite must do. 6/21/17

We had just finished a trip to Kent falls and were very hungry. Decided to drop in to this cozy restaurant just before closure and the staff were kind enough to accommodate us.The veggie options we had were very tasty. Overall a very good experience

The Villager restaurant is a great choice if you are on a budget as most of their dishes are below $10. I like that they give a discount to seniors and their friendly wait staff. The food is basic, but good and there are many choices on their menu.

Food was good, service was quick and friendly, and the server didnt bat an eye or try to rush my independent little one while he was trying to order all by himself. We were on vacation but if I was in the area again I would definitely return!

Terrific food. If youre not there for an omelette or burger (and even if you are), try out the Mexican fare on offer - it easily is the best Mexican food Ive had in Connecticut.
