Aug 10, 09 - We had been looking forward to trying this place for some time. After a moderate wait, we were seated at a table that was spitting distance from two filthy garbage cans positioned under the nearby counter. When I asked to be moved to another table, the hostess said shed do what she could, and that was fine. I mentioned this request to the waitress upon her return however, and she seemed quite put out, or annoyed about it, about the inconvenience to her of my request. I actually felt guilty for asking for another table, for about 5 seconds. Its important to note, I made the request politely, almost apologetically. I was not demanding or arrogant. I wanted them to know I was not comfortable where we were. How many hundreds, maybe thousands, of customers had sat there before me, without complaint? Who knows? Garbage and noise is garbage and noise. If the majority of their clientele doesnt mind when seated there, I cant help that. It doesnt make me feel any better about it either. She did actually offer to move me to another table, which was on the other side of a wall, and just as close to the aforementioned filthy looking garbage cans. Did I mention the same area was where all the dirty dishes were collected, as noisily as possible, before moving on to the dish washing area? Not one but two waitresses had an obvious attitude about my wanting to move (eye-rolling, head-wagging, exasperated remarks under the breath). It would have been much easier to stay, and move to the decent table, which theyd finally managed to provide, but by then Id lost my appetite, for dinner, and for Bandanas. Crappy service at a place like this is hard to avoid on occasion, because they rely on college kids, some of whom are still brats. But the filthy looking garbage cans makes me wonder if there arent bigger problems at Bandanas. You dont get many clues about what goes on behind the scenes at a restaurant. Make the most of them. Whatever you see is probably the tip of the iceberg. Especially where cleanliness is concerned. I thought the service was awful and the table location was out and out disgusting, and so we left before I dared taste the food, which might have been delicious, but risky. Those garbage cans, and the wait staff who didnt have a clue why they might be unappetizing, were a "word to the wise," sufficient enough for me. Because she asked, I did take the time to tell the hostess why I was leaving. Its a small place, and Bandanas has made the most of it. They also seem to do a good business, so there is much they are doing right. Other reviews here testify to that as well. So, take it for what its worth, I guess. We may or may not try it again next year. But next time I would take a look inside before I wait to be seated.

Everything was perfect. Our server Casey was very attentive and friendly. The chips and salsa were excellent. I can highly recommend the three amigos. It was delicious. My picky daughter ate the char tacos and cleaned her plate. The homemade lemonade was perfect, even tho the are a byob it was a good substitute for a Margarita. Finally we finished with the Sarahs Favorite which is an ice cream stuffed crepe and it was outstanding. It was an incredible meal and their prices are so very reasonable. We will be back many more times and highly recommend it.

Showed up to sit and have ice cream with my 5 yr old daughter and fiance at 6:45 on a Tuesday, was told they arent sitting people now for ice cream,we can get it to go or sit outside, its 95 degrees outside and there was literally 2 tables taken in the entire place! What a joke! You turn customers away when you sell yourself as an ice cream parlor as well as Mexican restaurant, keep your overpriced tacos and Sundays, will never come back here again!

Very delicious! I do not have a single complaint about this place! We stopped there while vacationing in NJ and it was absolutely delicious! The waitress allowed me to substitute a lot of things in my order. I was very pleased with this. Price is great, service is great, atmosphere is good, the value all the way around was great! I definitely plan to go back if I go on vacation in Wildwood again!

I have been going to Bandanas for years and years....my last visit was last night, not only was it expensive but I was so disappointed in the food as were all my guests at the table....the good news is the ice cream and desserts are still delicious. Dont think I will be going again. I have been visiting Wildwood Crest for 30 years....it has really changed, and not for the better.

This place is excellent!! Its a must for my familys yearly visit to WWC. All entrees, icecream, chips & salsa are made with fresh, good quality ingrediants. You can smell the cilantro once walking in! Its a small place and expect to wait for a table during the golden time of evening dining after 6:PM for beachgoers. This year we bought salsa to enjoy at home.

I went in for the build-a-burrito lunch and got it to go. The girl wasnt exactly mean, but she wasnt at all welcoming or friendly. The flavors of the food were okay but they definitely dont know how to wrap a burrito. By the time I got back to my office to eat it...it pretty much fell apart. The side of guac I got definitely wasnt the greenest, either.

Cest du bon mexicain sans être wow. Service trop rapide, on se sent pressés même si le personnel est courtois. Longue attente avant davoir une table (45 min.)

Horrible place with horrible service! Went there on a Friday night around 9:30pm they wanted to close early but they were very rude with their service. A waitress kept on going around our table to see if she could take our plates so we could leave. She did this 4 times. They should let the costumers eat in peace.

Had the tequila tacos last night and threw up an hour and a half later...the food actually looked fresh and tasted good going down, so I dont know if it was the grouper or what. Its a nice place although a bit small. The waitress was nice. Hopefully I was the one who had issues last night...

Wow! Best ever! Fold was superb. Vegatables tasted llike they were straight from the garden. The fish tacos had huge chunks of solid fish. Extremely earth friendly. Gluten free items were on the menu and our waiter was very helpful with suggesting items that could be made gluten free.

Good food but some a bit pricey for the portion size. Very neat theyre environmentally friendly! Most of the wait staff seemed nice but ours was not particularly friendly. Ice cream too! ..but if youre looking for a great ice cream stop, Id go for the Doo Wop a few blocks away.

I came here around 830pm on a Saturday. Wanted to order tacos but was told they had no meat to make them. Also stood at the counter for over 5 minutes with menu in hand being stared at by 5 staff members and still had to ask a server if someone could help me with takeout.

The food is very good, the service is average. A good place to eat. The choice is limited but their dishes are well presented and the service is quite fast. Prices are reasonable. Very good place for Mexican food, good and tasty food.
