Went here for a late lunch today. 21 of us. 14 adults and 7 kids. The main dining area was closed. They were having happy hour at the bar. We asked to have all of us sitting at the tables inthe back corner. The staff wanted us to sit, half at the barstools and half at one table. They did not want to give is any more tables in case other smaller parties showed up. We said we would all sit separately, as if we were a bunch of smaller parties and they said we have to askthe manager. The manager comes out and says on such short notice it can be difficult to entertain a big party. She stated that happy hour is very profitable for them and they didnt want us to take up all their tables. Really, miss manager??? You dont want paying customers? I said to her, you know we are here to eat, right? She said oh yes but we want to save these for possible other customers, because our happy hour does really well. There was never a line there btw, while we were eating. Service was horrible, they added extra food to the bill that we didnt order. The manager took our order, she really messed it up and the wait staff did not deserve the 20% tip that we gave them. No, they did not add it to the bill, we freely tipped them because we are not rude people. The fish tacos were good. The manager, no common sense with her comments, also very insulting with her comments. Yes maam I hope someone shows this to you and i will be glad to leave some contact info so we can further discuss this with your boss.

First time at this unusually busy Mexican place. Cant believe that the Mexican Iron Chef is the mastermind of this menu. Started with the Mexican Poutine: french fries, jalapeño fondue, ground beef, black beans, cilantro. Jalapeno Fondue? Then this would be a Fondue, not a poutine! This was the best dish of the night, hence the two stars. We both ordered the same dinner so we could compare. Our shrimp tacos were overdone(nice and rubbery), mushroom and corn tacos had no mushroom flavor (were there actually any mushrooms?), and the braised beef tacos were extremely dry. They prepare their tacos the traditional way with onion and cilantro, but the onions are supposed to be sauteed, not raw!!! There were more onions than anything else on each taco. We also shared a side of beans and rice with fried plantains. The rice was underneath the black beans, and were soaked in what looked like the black bean liquid from the can. So, I do not recommend this place, but, the Fondue was pretty good!

The only nice thing about this place was the waitress. Place was pretty empty, but stood to get a table for a couple minutes before a host came and acknowledged us. Menu is pretty bland. No option of getting extras like tomatoes & cheese on tacos. No mild/hot sauces on tables to give food flavor. Tacos came out quick. Pork was so dried out, you could of broken some pieces in half. Beef was not done properly so was super fatty & hard to chew. Mahi Mahi just tasted like grease & whatever sauce they put on it, and was one little piece to fill up half a taco. I feel I get better tacos from a box bought at the grocery store. Will not be returning.

I was hoping after a year of not dining here, this place would figure it out and improve its service and quality. I was wrong. Not only was our service extremely slow, but everything that was brought to us was wrong. It was either brought to the wrong table, or the order was incorrect. We waited over 20 minutes for our apps after placing the order. The food was just ok and I would rather put in the extra effort to go in to Philly for good quality food and service. It has also been 20 minutes since we were handed our check and our waitress still hasnt taken care of it.

Wanted a chicken burrito all day came in to find out the only burrito they have on Sunday afternoon is a breakfast burrito. They would not refill our chips and salsa like they do at 99% of Mexican restaurants and it was way over priced for what you received. 12 dollars for a breakfast burrito that would not even fill up my 6 yr old it was so small. The refried beans had no flavor and taste like they came from a can. Will not be returning anytime soon. Only giving 1 star because staff was nice.

The atmosphere seemed great. Beautiful bar. The layout was amazing. Too badtheservice was horrible. Our waiter treated his customers with disdain while chatting it up with a gentleman by the food pick up area. He passed us 8 times while complaining about something to his coworkers. Other employees walked by us without checking if service was needed. 15 min is a lo g time to wait after your drink order. Will never return. Worst experience ever.

what a disappointment! I love Amada in Philly and was looking forward to dinner. The Margaritas were so dryand sour almost undrinkable. My sangria was not nearly as good as Amadas. Fajitas were good but the salsa was so spicy it was inedible and we were not warned that it would be so hot. Yet the pork taco was so bland they had no identifiable flavor. I must say that the corn side dish was wonderful. wont go back again.

No, no no no no!! Goya frozen anything has more flavor than anything that was served to me. The only thing that was halfway appetizing was the chips and dip, which was to small. Enchiladas, sucked. Tacos, sucked. This is not Mexican, or Mexican inspired. It is bland, overpriced nast. Dont do it. The food looked like it had flavor, presentation was nice, my God was it terrible though.

So this is how a bad story turns out with great customer service. Our order is completely wrong. We ordered pickup and figure it out once we return. We call and speak to management. They comp our meal and offer to pay for the next one on the house. Granted we do order probably once a week. This IS AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Great happy hour! Love the fish tacos during this time. You get 2 tacos for 5 dollars. Decor in the restaurant is a big plus. You feel like your in a different area due to the music and great food. Food is very well seasoned and delicious all around. Margaritas are strong and not watered down. Definitely a great date spot.

Worst meal and worst service I have ever experienced. $4 for EACH soda, really? No free refills, spent $19 on soda and ice tea. Was still eating when server started clearing table and brought the bill. Asked my husband if he wanted a box and drops the bill holder into his plate. Will never go back.

Very quirky hosts. Make a reservation if you can because they will tell you that they have only seating at the bar or none at all even when tables will sit vacant for over an hour. Pricey for tacos and fajitas. Menu needs to be revamped and expanded. They do have the drinks down pat.
