Its not big and the menu is not huge. They do offer eggs, omelet, pancakes, french toast and all the trimmings for them. It was neat and clean which is a MUST for me. I got there at 5:30, just as they were opening and the owner (I later found out he was the owner) came out & waited on four of us while his waitress was doing something else. Without out a piece of paper, he took our orders, asked my husband how he wanted his steak (steak & eggs) cooked, how we wanted our coffees, etc. We all ordered something different & had our special requests. Our order came to our table quickly, hot, bountiful and RIGHT! All of it! One of the younger men with us said, wow thats old school; I responded that is how it should always be! When we were finished, the owner (also the Cook) came out and asked us if everything was OK? Needless to say we were all very pleased with our breakfast. So lets recap: 1. clean 2. order was accurate 3. order arrived hot 4. order came in a timely manner 5. owner and waitress were polite, professional and courteous 6. price was VERY reasonable I give them 5 stars, 2 thumbs up.and my highest recommendation.

As I was waiting to be seated (table of 6) there was a journalist who wanted to write an article on the restaurant. She asked the waitress to speak to a manager. The waitress who was a slim female with salt and pepper hair was EXTREMELY RUDE. She was going off "its a Saturday, its busy, come back Tuesday, who sent you?!?!?" In my head, Im thinking "What if this journalist is going to attract more business to this Diner". When it came to seating my 6, she was so rude. She shouted theres no booth for six, you take the stools. Clearly there was an empty booth so I told her to relax that well seat ourselves in the booth. She told me to relax. She was such a miserable person. Our table just got up and left. If she doesnt like her job, she should find herself another gig.

Just tried to get seated with my two children and husband. We were waiting for around 5 minutes. No one greeted us and no effort was made to seat us or clean the only place we could have sat while other tasks were being done. In fact, it seemed like effort was being made not to make us feel welcome.

Food was amazing... But the prices were even more amazing! I read some of the other reviews regarding rude/bad/horrible service... There was none of that... I even had the salt and pepper hair lady everyone seems to get bad service from. She was nice enough.

Hands down my favorite place in New Jersey. Came from Texas to play hockey and this is for sure a great place for the team to come eat before a game. Huge proportions and taste like my grandparents cooking.
