This is one of those depending on what night you go type of places. Weekdays it is a very good restaurant for anything from grabbing a drink or bite with friends, to a decent place for a date. But if youre going on Friday and Saturday, make reservations early in the week, be prepared for parents who dont have any control over their screaming kids in the restaurant and a very busy bar scene with bands that continuously turn up the volume with each song - this is not a bad thing - if youre into a lively bar scene as everyone is jovial and has a good time. When the weather allows, grabbing a seat outside is offers great views and seemingly faster service then inside. Food is prompt, service is good with wait staff knowing every item on the menu and always helpful with special requests. This place is a growing chain of restaurants throughout the US. I hope they continue to grow.

The sub-par reviews are well deserved, I can only guess the "good ones" are friends of the management or locals "where everyone knows their name". The comments on the food being mediocre is accurate, the service is hit or miss, but the ambiance is beautiful which is why I kept going back. After my last visit, I can assure anyone who reads this, there are so many lovely restaurants in the area where the food is good, the staff is attentive and you are welcome regardless who you are. So take my advice, when you want to relax, have great food and be treated well, TAKE YOUR TIME AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER RESTAURANT. Buona Sera in Redbank is amazing, Teak has great atmosphere. Dont waste your time or money being fooled by the view

No Class, High Prices. Despite the fact that we made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for my wifes birthday they refused to seat us by a window. We were dressed up, and everyone else was in T shirts and flip flops. Screaming kids everywhere running up and down. The air conditioning was iffy, everything smelled like unwashed people. And to top it all off, the table they seated us at was glass covered and filthy. We told the manager of our displeasure about the seating, a 20 something yuppie type who didnt care. When we caught his attitude we told him we were leaving and would never be back, and then he couldnt have cared less. And we havent been back. Yuck. Awful, awful experience.

First time there. Made a reservation..was 20 minutes early. Was told they were setting up the dining room and given a pager. Waited and waited while others got seated..so finally asked what was going on? Hostess said she was so sorry, thought she already called us.well we didnt get to sit by a window...then waiter forgot to put our order in...while we were eating apps. The ribs were not cooked well enuf. Lots of barbecue sauce that really wasnt cooked on the ribs long enuf. Something wasnt right. Wont go back. Too many mistakes...especially when celebrating a birthday

Been here in past. Always satisfied. Today popped in for lunch. Were told they were serving buffet brunch & that was reason couldnt sit in main eating area. Directed towards Bar but no tables available. My wife asked what if I ate buffet & she ordered a cooked to order meal, could we then sit at a "Table" in Main dining area?? No! Was the answer. I saw a dozen tables open???? I dont know, Im in business too & never turn any away. But apparently Salt Creek Grill does??? Its our Anniversary & decided to go here. Oh well we left & went to our favorite spot Buona Sera

Dont waste your time or money. This place looks way better online than it actually is.We ate there last night and the food was bland and exspensive. I ordered the jumbo shrimp with kale. There was so much garlic it was unbearable. The dish tasted like citrus and garlic and they gave me 4 "jumbo" shrimp. That were medium sized at best. The service was good, but the food was disappointing. They did take my dinner off the check and offered something else promptly. Unfortunately the shrimp ceviche was horrible too. It was actually room temperature!

One of my guests ordered pork chops and the sauce that came with it was burnt they said it didnt taste good when I tasted I told him it was burnt and we sent it back the place needs renovation downstairs smells kind of musty when you go to the bathroom and the upstairs is kind of dirty there was stuff all over the floor the chairs would beat up the food is so so. Great location not as good as it used to be youre going for a hamburger and a drink its fine

What a mess! Weve been here before - but tonight...it was a kiddie park; with several screaming infants scattered across the overstuffed, dining room. The food, when it came out, was rough, as in beef stroganoff as tough as shoe leather and their signature chocolate soufflé, watery - not fully baked despite ordering 30 minutes ahead of its delivery. A 1 star restaurant with 3 star pricing, and lots and lots of screaming kids. Sad to say goodbye

We had our daughters wedding reception at the Rumson SCG and came back a year later for a baby shower. The events manager was very helpful. The food, served buffet style, was outstanding in choice, quality, and display. The servers were friendly and accommodating. And, of course, the view is grand! We tried the Princeton location but the food there is not up to par.

Wonderful experience! Just attended and helped with a party there yesterday and the staff was amazing. The valet gentleman helped me carry my things in. :) The wait staff for the party were very helpful and pleasant. Would recommend this restaurant not only to eat at but also to have a party!!

Have been here 4-5 times and havent been disappointed. The service is consistently efficient, pleasant and accomodating. To note, their version of steak temperatures is a bit more cooked than Ive found at other places. Be sure to ask your server to ensure you arent disappointed.

good food and nice ambiance. polite, pleasant, but not too efficient service. for the prices they charge, little things should count. the roasted potato was old and not fully cooked. these are the things that leave a bad taste in your mouth in an otherwise very good restaurant.

I went for a birthday during Sunday brunch buffet. The wait staff was very friendly. The food was all good, nothing over the top great, but for a Sunday brunch buffet I was very happy. The decor was pleasant. Although, the view of the bay was what really makes this place.

Great place with a nice view, came in for the brunch on Sunday. Expensive! There is a 2 meat carving station, a seafood and cheese area and some various desserts. Truthfully the omelet was a great way to go, but for 40 bucks try to get them to non stop refill the mimosa glass!

blondes in fur coats pack the bar, foodies pack the restaurant, cooks pack the open kitchen, and those waiting for tables on winter evenings gather around the big fire on the porch sipping their drinks. wonderful water views, some of the blondes are not bad to look at either.

We had our daughters sweet 16 birthday party there. Food and service was just terrific. Reasonably priced, and the party room downstairs was tastefully done. We had a great time, and I would recommend it to anyone for an important family or business function.
