So were sitting in the bar/beach area and wanted something to snack. People at the pick nick table next to us were eating burgers and bbq. We went up to the bar and wanted to order just some chips and salsa. The lady wanted to know where we are sitting. Outside, on the beach. Oh no you cant eat there. Then we said there are many people eating there. She sent someone out to check that but he just walked by those eating and did not do anything. Like Jon Stewart said: if you smell something say something. Bs joint. Im not gonna my to get a snack.

Pretty pathetic. Beers were expensive, the outside seating area looks like its going to crumble apart, it was hot as heck and there were no fans, no A/C in the indoor bar area, no draft beer only bottles (dont know why the have glass bottles on the beach - 1 broken bottle and everyones feet are going to get cut). Its convenient that its on the beach, but thats where the pros end. I got one beer with some friends and we quickly left. Overall its dirty, dingy, and is a poor example of what a beach bar should be.

The Beach Bar is so loud that you cant even hear yourself think. That, or I might just be too old. Came here with my boyfriend and another couple after a day of baking on the beach. We went for one of their rum buckets. Although they put a bunch of different rums in there, it still doesnt taste that strong - probably because its 1/2 filled with ice. If youre looking to have a nice drink to cool down after a day at the beach, this isnt it.

We did the Sunday Brunch, food was actually excellent, and the servers were friendly and helpful. The Surf Music nights are the coolest scene around. Convention Hall has become my Winter hangout, especially with the live music at the upstairs CH bar (awesome smoking deck). MM finally gets it right!

Location, location, location. If this bar was anywhere else it would be really annoying but its in the perfect spot for people watching on the beach. The rum buckets are pricey and the house music can go over the top at times but again Location, location, location.

The fish tacos were delicious! We ate inside and the bar area was very clean and the server was extremely attentive. I would love to try the outdoor space next time. I would absolutely recommend eating here!!

The food was all great at anchorbend! Among me and my friends we got the burger, poke, Mediterranean tapas, chicken sandwich and fries, and everyone loved everything. And the outdoor seating is really nice.
